Woltersdorf is a municipality in the district Lüchow-Dannenberg, in Lower Saxony, Germany.

The municipality Woltersdorf includes the villages Woltersdorf, Klein Breese, Lichtenberg and Thurau.

Famous sites around Woltersdorf are the Brautstein ("stone of the bride") and the Feldkirche ("church on the field"). Both of these can be seen in the coat of arms of Woltersdorf.

The Brautstein is a formation of ancient boulders left behind by glaciers in the ice age. The Feldkirchr has a little stone in its walls which was taken from the Slavic population and was built into the church.

Helmut Woltersdorf was a German Luftwaffe flying ace and night fighter ace of the World War II. Woltersdorf is credited with 24 victories, including 20 Royal Air Force (RAF) bomber aircraft. Woltersdorf claimed eight victories as Zerstörer pilot operating the Messerschmitt Bf 110 and 16 as a night fighter pilot—including 15 at night and one in daylight. Woltersdorf also flew Dornier Do 215 night fighter.

The line is notable for its use of historic vehicles, using 4 wheeled trams, built in the early 1960s. The line was constructed in 1913, to connect Woltersdorf to the Berlin Suburban railways. It is one of the smallest tram operators in Germany, and has not expanded beyond its 1913 route.
