The Athenæum, originally named Das Deutsche Haus, is the most ornate and best-preserved building affiliated with the German American community of Indianapolis. Once used as a German American Turnverein and clubhouse, it currently houses many groups, organizations, and businesses. The Athenæum is located across Massachusetts Avenue from the Old National Centre. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on February 21, 1973. On October 31, 2016, it was named the 41st National Historic Landmark in Indiana.
The Ralston Community Clubhouse was built in 1914 as a community school in Ralston, Wyoming. It was abandoned as a school in 1922 when Ralston consolidated its school with the neighboring Powell school district. The Powell district offered the school to the Ralston Community Club in 1930. The clubhouse became the social center of Ralston, serving as a community meeting hall and polling place. It was particularly important to local women's organizations.
Larzelere Tavern is a historic inn and tavern located two miles north of Branchport in Yates County, New York. It is a large, 2-story, three-bay-wide, four-bay-deep, rectangular gable-roofed main block with a 1+1⁄2-story, gable-roofed side wing. Also on the property are two historic outhouses and a shed / garage. Built originally as an inn and tavern, the structure was later used as a Grange Hall and later as a bed and breakfast.
The Chamberlin House is a historic house at 44 Pleasant Street in Concord, New Hampshire. Built in 1886, it is a prominent local example of Queen Anne architecture built from mail-order plans, and now serves as the clubhouse of the Concord Women's Club. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.
The Odd Fellows Hall in La Grange, California, was built in 1880. Also known as the I.O.O.F. Building, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It served historically as a clubhouse and as a meeting hall.
The Wauwatosa Woman's Club Clubhouse is located in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1998.
Bridgeville Public Library was housed in a historic library building located in Bridgeville, Sussex County, Delaware. It was built in 1866, and is a 1+1⁄2-story, three-bay, frame structure in the Gothic Revival style. It has a steeply pitched gable roof. There is a one-story gable roofed wing and one-story rear addition. To the front there is a two-story, gable-roofed bell tower and a gable-roofed Colonial Revival open portico. It was originally built to provide a place of worship for the First Presbyterian Church of Bridgeville. In 1917, the Tuesday Night Club bought the building. In 1919, the club's Literary Guild organized a circulating library and in 1964, the Tuesday Night Club signed the building over to the Town of Bridgeville for use as a library. The new 13,500 square foot library was opened in 2009.
Savin-Wilson House, also known as the Dew Duck Inn Hunting Club and John B. Savin House, is a historic home located near Smyrna, Kent County, Delaware. It built about 1820, and consists of a two-story, five-bay, gable-roofed brick main block with a one-story, gable-roofed frame kitchen wing. It is in a late Georgian / Federal vernacular style.
Joseph Killgore House was a historic home located at Newport, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in the second quarter of the 19th century and was a two-story, three-bay, frame dwelling with a gable roof in the saltbox style. It began as a 1+1⁄2-story, hall-parlor plan dwelling and later expanded. It was located next to the Killgore Hall commercial development. The house was demolished in about 2000.
Newport Masonic Hall is historic building located at Newport, New Castle County, Delaware. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places as Armstrong Lodge No. 26, A. F. & A. M., it was built in 1913, and consists of a two-story, five-bay, rectangular brick main block with a long, one-story rectangular rear wing to form a 'T'-plan. A large, arch-roofed brick addition was built in 1958. The building is in a restrained Colonial Revival style. The main block has a gable roof. It was designed with two commercial spaces on the ground floor, and a lodge room and auditorium on the second.
Newport National Bank is a historic bank building located at Newport, New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1864, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, five bay by three bay, brick building with a gable roof. It has a two-story service wing. The building was renovated in 1927 in the Colonial Revival style. The buildings contained both a residence and the bank, reflecting bank rules which required that the cashier and family reside in the building as a security measure.
Little Town is a historic home located near Littleton, Sussex County, Virginia. It was built in 1811 in two sections. It consists of a two-story, three-bay, double-pile, side-hall-plan block attached to an original three-bay single cell parlor wing. It has a gable roof with a modillion cornice and interior end chimneys. Also on the property is a contributing frame dairy.
The Capt. Thomas Morse Farm is a historic farmhouse on Old Marlborough Road in Dublin, New Hampshire. It is a small 1+1⁄2-story two-room cottage, similar to other early period Cape style farmhouses in the town and probably built in the late 18th century by one of the town's first settlers. Now a clubhouse for the Dublin Lake Golf Club, it is one of the few buildings from that period to survive. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It appears to have been torn down and replaced by a more modern structure.
The Old Sullivan County Courthouse was the first county courthouse of Sullivan County, New Hampshire. Construction of the brick building in 1825-26 was instrumental in securing Newport's status as the shire town of the county when it was established in 1827. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The building is now in commercial use.
Franklinton Depot, also known as the Raleigh and Gaston Railroad Passenger Depot and Franklinton Woman's Club Clubhouse, is a historic train station located at 201 East Mason Street in Franklinton, Franklin County, North Carolina. It was built by the Raleigh and Gaston Railroad in 1886, and is a one-story, rectangular frame building with Italianate, Queen Anne, and Gothic Revival style design elements. The main section measures 51 feet by 16 feet, with an attached 10 feet by 12 feet baggage room. The main section has a steeply pitched gable roof and baggage room a low-pitched hip roof. It served the Seaboard Air Line's Palmland as well as local service between Norlina and Hamlet.
The Grafton District Schoolhouse No. 2, also known locally as the Old Fire Station, is a historic civic building at 217 Main Street in Grafton, Vermont. Built about 1835, it has served as a school, fire station, Masonic hall, tin shop, undertaker's shop, and as the clubhouse of a local brass band. Despite some alteration, it is a well-preserved example of a mid-19th century Greek Revival schoolhouse. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.
Ossian Opera House, also known as the Knights of Columbus Hall, is a historic building located in Ossian, Iowa, United States. The opera house "movement" was active in Iowa from about 1870 to 1930. Numerous auditoriums and halls were built in towns large and small. Ossian is somewhat unusual for a small town in that its opera house was a single-use type of building, rather a mixed-use facility. The frame building with a gable roof was built in 1893 by the Ossian Hall Company. It features a three-part facade, with a central frontispiece that is flanked by side wings. The hall could seat 350 people. The local Knights of Columbus council, a Catholic fraternal organization, acquired the building in 1956, and renovated the building for their clubhouse. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
The Ripton Community House, formerly the Ripton Congregational Church, is a historic former church and present community hall on Vermont Route 125 in the village of Ripton, Vermont. Built in 1864 for a Congregationalist church, it has since served as a community clubhouse and town-owned meeting hall, and is a fine local example of vernacular Greek Revival architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
The Orleans County Courthouse and Jail Complex is a historic government facility on Main Street in the city of Newport, Vermont, the shire town of Orleans County. The complex includes a fine Romanesque courthouse built in 1886, a wood-frame jailer's quarters built in 1886, and a 1903 brick jail. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
Centennial Hall is a historic community hall and schoolhouse at 105 Post Road in North Hampton, New Hampshire. Built in 1876, it is a distinctive local example of Stick Style architecture, and has served the town as a schoolhouse and community meeting place for most of its existence. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
