Women Wearing Shoulder Pads (Spanish : Mujeres con Hombreras) is a Mexican adult stop-motion animated television series created by Gonzalo Cordova for Cartoon Network's nighttime programming block Adult Swim. It became the first Spanish-language series to air on the block on 17 August 2025. Following the four shorts from 2022 to 2024. In Mexico, it airs exclusively on HBO Max. It is set in Ecuador. [1] At least 8 11-minute episodes have been made. A compilation film version of the series was released on HBO Max on 29 September 2025. The film was also dubbed in English. CANAL+ was all episodes are released on September 30, 2025. [2]
Guinea pigs, sometimes called cuyes and commonly grown for meat in South America, are being rebranded by Spanish entrepreneur Marioneta Negocios from a delectable delicacy to a cuddly companion. She is on a collision course with Doña Quispe, a businesswoman who runs the country's most famous restaurant, El Cuchillo (the knife), and a chain of cuyes butcher shops, as a result of this PR campaign. The women's friends and relatives are swiftly drawn into this conflict.

Cinema Fantasma had previously worked with Cartoon Network on Frankelda's Book of Spooks. After I Am Frankelda ended production, the series was developed and picked up by the network's nighttime programming block Adult Swim. [6] The series was announced and showcased at the New York Comic Con on 12 October 2023. [7] It marks the first Spanish-language project for the programming block.
