"Would You Believe" is the first single taken from Swedish pop group Ace of Base's compilation album Hidden Gems .
The song was initially recorded for inclusion on the band's fourth studio album Da Capo , with Jenny singing the choruses and Linn and Jenny sharing leads on verses. [1] [2] In 2005, a second version, dubbed the "summer version", was re-recorded in Stockholm and reproduced with new co-production by Tommy Ekman. The track was supposed to be a "restart for making a new album," according to Jonas, but this never came to fruition. [3] This version features Linn on choruses and Jenny on verses, and is one of the final songs recorded by Linn during her tenure with Ace of Base. [4] [5] Both versions were shared on Facebook on March 24, 2011. An additional third version with vocals provided by Jonas's d'Cats project was shared on Facebook on March 3, 2011. [6]
The version featured on Hidden Gems is a slightly remixed form of the summer version, with subtle differences in production and structure. This version of "Would You Believe" was first available worldwide as a digital preorder bonus to Hidden Gems alongside the previously released 1998 b-side "Into The Night of Blue". "Would You Believe" was officially released as a single in Germany on February 27, 2015. [7]
A lyric video for the song was released on 13 February 2015. [8] The music video for the song was released on Ace of Base's official YouTube channel on 12 January 2016. [9] The video was edited by Trace Adam and appeared online nearly a year prior to its official release in a slightly different form. The music video features segments from the 1995 and 1996 videos of "Lucky Love" strategically edited to make it appear as if the band members were singing to "Would You Believe." The version of the song that appears in the video is a slightly edited, shorter version that was not made commercially available.
The cover art for the digital German single features a photo taken at a photoshoot during the filming for the "C'est la Vie (Always 21)" video. The photo is similar in composition to the one used on the cover of the 2000 Greatest Hits release and the single artwork for "Hallo Hallo."

Ace of Base is a Swedish pop group, formed in 1990, originally consisting of siblings Jonas, Linn, and Jenny Berggren, with Ulf Ekberg.
Malin Sofia Katarina Berggren is a Swedish singer-songwriter, best known as a former member of the pop music band Ace of Base. Having been interested and involved in music since her childhood, she formed the band in 1987, along with her sister Jenny, her brother Jonas and their friend Ulf Ekberg. Before forming Ace of Base, Malin sang in her church's choir. She was born in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The Bridge is the second album by Swedish pop music group Ace of Base. It was composed during 1994 and 1995, and released in Europe on 30 October 1995. It is the only Ace of Base album to feature sizable contributions of writing, production, vocals, and harmonies by all four band members, each having an important part in its creation.

"The Sign" is a techno-reggae, Europop, and pop ballad with lyrics describing a couple contemplating the state of their relationship.
Cruel Summer is a 1998 album by Swedish pop group Ace of Base, released as the band's third album in North America on 14 July 1998 and in Japan on 25 August 1998 by Arista Records. Flowers was the group's third album worldwide, but Arista Records decided to release a different version of the album in North America, Japan, and Latin America, retitled Cruel Summer. This version of the album featured the new track "Everytime It Rains" and many new versions of songs that were first featured on Flowers. Q Magazine included "Living in Danger" in their list of the "1001 Best Songs Ever" in 2003.
Greatest Hits is a greatest hits album by Swedish group Ace of Base. It is their second compilation with this title, the first being Arista's 2000 US release Greatest Hits (2000). It was released under Playground Music on 14 November 2008, and is the last album to be released under the original contract of five original albums. The compilation was released in multiple formats, including a single disc edition and a 2-CD+DVD compilation which includes 16 of their hits, 13 previously released remixes, and 17 music videos. The set also includes four newly recorded remakes of hit songs. Beside previously unreleased songs included on the 2015 compilation album Hidden Gems, this is the last Ace of Base album to date with new material to feature vocalist Jenny Berggren.
The Golden Ratio is the fifth studio album by Swedish pop music group Ace of Base. It was recorded in early 2009 through mid-2010. It is the only album to feature two new vocalists: Clara Hagman and Julia Williamson. Production on this album initially began with former band member and lead vocalist, Jenny Berggren in which the resulting sessions were shelved.
