"Hell in Paradise" is a song by Yoko Ono from the 1985 album Starpeace. The lyrics are about mankind's perceived idea of hell, despite living in the paradise that Ono considers to be planet Earth. After "Walking on Thin Ice", it was her biggest hit of the 1980s, charting at number 16 on the US dance chart. Ono went on hiatus after Starpeace; this would be her last proper single until 2001's remix of "Open Your Box".
"Vox" is the debut single by Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan. It was released in 1988 in Canada from her album Touch, and as a CD-single in 1992. The 1989 Arista Records release of Touch contained a different mix of the song from the original 1988 album, and different extended remixes were released as well. "Vox" reached number 90 on Canada's RPM Top Singles chart but failed to chart elsewhere.
"Every Heartbeat" is a 1991 single by American Christian singer Amy Grant. It was released as the third single from the Heart in Motion album, though it was the second from the album to be released to mainstream pop radio. After the unexpected major success of Grant's previous single, "Baby Baby," which topped both the United States' Billboard Hot 100 and Adult Contemporary charts, there seemed the question on how to follow it up. The chosen single was "Every Heartbeat," and although it did not hit No. 1, it still managed to make the No. 2 spot on the Hot 100 and the Adult Contemporary chart for one and six weeks respectively. In both cases Every Heartbeat was kept from the top spot by Bryan Adams' song "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You". Charlie Peacock wrote the song's music and chorus lyrics, with Grant and Wayne Kirkpatrick composing the remaining lyrics. In 2004, Sixpence None The Richer covered "Every Heartbeat" on the album Full Circle: A Celebration of Songs and Friends, which commemorated Charlie Peacock's 20-year anniversary as a solo recording artist. Mark Lowry parodied the song with the title "Every Teacher". In 2014, the song was included on Grant's remix compilation album titled In Motion: The Remixes. A digital remix EP was released on iTunes in support of the album which charted at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart. In 1992 Kids Incorporated covered "Every Heartbeat" in the Season 8 episode "Old Friends".
"Electric Barbarella" is the 29th single by Duran Duran, and the first official single from the album Medazzaland. In 1997, the single and album were released only in the United States; "Electric Barbarella" was not issued as a single in the UK until January 1999 on the back of the late 1998 release of the compilation album Greatest.
"Change" is a single from American Idol finalist, Kimberley Locke, the first from her Based on a True Story album, after plans on promoting Supawoman as the lead single were canceled. Kimberley, with the assistance of Ty Lacy & Dennis Matkosky, wrote the song about the crossroads she reached when deciding whether or not to call off her engagement in 2005.
"Be Good to Me" is a song recorded by American recording artist Ashley Tisdale from her debut album, Headstrong (2007). It was written by Kara DioGuardi, Joacim Persson and Niclas Molinder, and produced by Twin. The song was released in the US as the album's lead single on December 26, 2006 and in South America in January 2007. The album version features uncredited rap vocals by Swedish musician David Jassy.
"Baila Mi Corazón" is the lead single from Belanova's third studio album, Fantasía Pop. The song premiered on July 2, 2007 in Mexico, followed by release in Argentina, Spain, the United States and the rest of Latin America. The digital download was released on August 20. It was hugely successful for the band.
"In My Arms" is the lead single from Plumb's lullaby album Blink. "In My Arms" was remixed by Kaskade, Scotty K, Bronleewe & Bose, Gomi, and Bimbo Jones and hit the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs. The song was the 19th most played song on Christian Hit Radio stations in the U.S. in 2007 according to R&R magazine. It was also on the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Airplay chart and is the first song to appear on both charts. The single was released digitally.
"Damaged" is a song by American girl group Danity Kane. It was written by Justin Walker, Sean Combs, Mario Winans, Jonathan Yip, Jeremy Reeves, Micayle McKinney, Ray Romulos, Shannon "Slam" Lawrence, Rose Marie Tan, and James Smith. The song was produced by the Stereotypes, with additional production from Combs and Winans, for the band's second studio album, Welcome to the Dollhouse (2008).

"Halfway Gone" is a song by American band Lifehouse. It is the first single released from their fifth studio album, Smoke & Mirrors (2010). It was first released via digital download in the United States and Canada on October 26, 2009. It was then solicited to mainstream radio on January 12, 2010. Several remixes of the song were later released on iTunes on April 6, 2010 in an album called Halfway Gone Remixes. The song was a commercial success, charting in Canada, the United States, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, and New Zealand. The accompanying music video portrays Lifehouse lead singer Jason Wade singing most of the lyrics in a local park, and also features several anonymous people lip-syncing the lyrics as well. The band has performed the song live on several occasions. Later, an alternate version of the song was released with additional production from Rudolf.
"Hang On" is a single from Plumb's third compilation album Beautiful History and is one of four original songs featured in the set. "Hang On" was recorded to be used in the 2009 original soundtrack to the film Twilight: New Moon but did not make the cut. The track reached the top spot of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play in 2009 and was her first number-one single of 2010 on Billboard's Hot Dance Airplay chart.
"The Music I Like" is the sixth single released by the Italian singer Alexia released in 1998 and the second single from her second album The Party. It reached number one in the Italian charts. A complete set of remixes for the UK market were issued which were later released in Italy.
"Lay It Down" is a song by American R&B recording artist Lloyd taken from his fourth studio album King of Hearts. "Dancing with a Broken Heart" is a song by Australian singer–songwriter Delta Goodrem. It was sent to Australian radio on 26 July 2012 and was released physically and digitally on 10 August 2012. The song is the second single released from Goodrem's fourth studio album Child of the Universe, on which it appears slightly remixed. It debuted on the ARIA Charts at number 15, but only stayed in the top 50 for three weeks. It received mixed to positive reviews.
