Xiaohan (Chinese :小寒; pinyin :Xiǎo Hán), is a Singaporean female Chinese pop music lyricist.
She published her first lyrical work ('義無反顧' performed by 阮丹青) in 1998.[ citation needed ] Ever since 2000, where she earned a nomination spot in the Singapore Hit Awards with '你抽的煙', Xiaohan has been a consistent nominee in the annual event.[ citation needed ] She became the first female to be crowned Best Local Lyricist at the Singapore Hit Awards 2002 with '紙飛機'. [1] [ unreliable source? ] Xiaohan reclaimed the title again in 2004, with '無底洞'. [1] [ unreliable source? ] She held on to the title in 2007, 2008 and 2010 with '雨天' (Performed by Stefanie Sun), '達爾文' and '抛物綫' (Both performed by Tanya Chua) respectively.[ unreliable source? ] [1] In addition to the Singapore Hit Awards, Xiaohan's lyrical works were also recognised in Singapore Compass Awards as well as Singapore eAwards. From the Chinese pop music scene, Xiaohan expanded her scope to penning lyrics for musicals.[ unreliable source? ] [4] She was also involved in the Speak Mandarin Campaign 2006, a fund-raising album "Hands United" for the 2004 tsunami victims and being a judge in various competitions. [5]
She is currently the co-director of Funkie Monkies Productions with Eric Ng. [6] With the collaboration of Funkie Monkies Productions with Royston Tan, Xiaohan participated in the making of the soundtracks for Royston Tan's blockbusters, "881" and "12蓮花" [7] [ unreliable source? ] In 2008 and 2009, Xiaohan had the honour of penning the mandarin version of the Singapore National Day theme song, titled '晴空萬里' (performed by Joi Chua) and '就在這裡'(performed by Kelvin Tan) respectively. Kulilay Amit, better known by her stage name A-Mei, is a Taiwanese Puyuma singer and record producer. Born as Amit Kulilay in the rugged mountains of eastern Taiwan, she made her debut in the music world in 1996, achieving meteoric commercial success. A leading figure of the Mandopop music scene since the mid-1990s, A-Mei is widely known for breaking ground for Taiwanese aborigines and being a voice for LGBT rights and gender equality. She has been given the moniker Queen of Mandopop and the "Pride of Taiwan". Thanks to her career longevity, resilience, professionalism, artistry, and versatility, she is considered a pop culture icon in the Sinophone world and is a legend in the industry.
George Lam Tsz-Cheung, also known professionally by his surname Lam, is a Hong Kong-based veteran Cantopop singer, singer-songwriter, music producer and actor, with a career that has so far lasted more than four decades. Lam produces most of his own albums, writes many of his own songs, occasionally writes for other artists, and covers other people's songs. Lam has a wide vocal range and is capable of interpreting and performing many different genres of music. He is heavily involved with planning and designing his concerts and his LP/CD covers. He was the one who came up with the first Cantopop rap, "Ah Lam's Diary", and he also pioneered the stringing together of multiple hit Cantopop songs to create a 10-minute long medley which is called "10 Minutes 12 Inches". In 2019, Lam interwove his songs together to put on a musical-like concert, Lamusical.
Tanya Chua is a Singaporean singer-songwriter. She launched her singing career by releasing her debut studio album Bored in 1997. She was part of the trio that sang Moments of Magic (1999), Singapore's official millennium song. Her albums, Amphibian (2005), Goodbye & Hello (2007), Sing It Out of Love (2011) and Depart (2021), each won her a Golden Melody Award for Best Mandarin Female Singer award.

Ugly Beauty is the fourteenth studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on December 26, 2018, by Sony and Eternal. It was produced by Tsai with Razor Chiang, Starr Chen, Howe Chen, and Øzi. Musically, it is a pop record which merged a series of genres such as trap, house, reggae, and gothic rock. Thematically, it tends to break through the traditional aesthetic criterion and explore the bipolarity of human feeling, and Tsai wants to "uncover the ugliness hidden behind the perfect surface, and peek into the emotions that try the best to be buried" through the album.

Aphasia is the tenth Mandarin-language studio album by Singaporean singer-songwriter Tanya Chua, released on 13 November 2015 by AsiaMuse Entertainment. Pre-orders for the album began on 28 October. Chua worked with her long-time lyricist Xiaohan and Chinese composer and producer An Dong for the album which is noted for its experimental and electronic elements, transcending the theme of her previous releases composed of guitar-driven healing ballads. The meaning behind the album title aphasia refers to the neurological disorder that impairs speech, reading, or writing.
