Mecano was a Spanish pop band formed in 1981 and active until 1992. Mecano became one of the most successful Spanish pop bands of all time. The band is still the best-selling Spanish band, with over 20 million records worldwide. They were considered by some to be avant-garde for their time and part of la Movida Madrileña countercultural movement. They had a brief comeback in 1998.
Vicente Amigo Girol is a Spanish flamenco composer and guitarist, born in Guadalcanal near Seville. He has played as an accompanying guitarist on recordings by flamenco singers Camarón de la Isla, and Luis de Córdoba, and he has acted as a producer for Remedios Amaya and José Mercé. His album Ciudad de las Ideas won the 2001 Latin Grammy for the Best Flamenco Album and the 2002 Ondas award for the best Flamenco work.
Ana Torroja Fungairiño, 3rd Marchioness of Torroja, is a Spanish singer. She was the lead singer of the pop trio Mecano, considered one of the most popular pop bands from Spain during the 1980s and 1990s. Mecano split in 1998 and she embarked on a solo career.

La Quinta Estación was a Spanish pop/rock band composed of two musicians from Madrid: Natalia Jiménez and Ángel Reyero (guitar). Hoy no me puedo levantar is a Spanish jukebox musical, with music and lyrics by José María Cano and Nacho Cano, former members of the band Mecano. Based on 32 of the band's greatest hits and named after their first single, the musical centers on a pair of impoverished musicians trying to be part of La Movida Madrileña, after the fall of Francisco Franco's dictatorship. Through an analysis of the 1980s, the musical portrays the condition of these boys trying to survive in Madrid, under the shadow of drugs and AIDS. The musical ran for four seasons in Madrid's Rialto Theatre and for three seasons in Mexico City's Centro Cultural Telmex and Teatro Aldama. It was produced by Drive in Spain and OCESA Teatro in Mexico.

Mecano: En Concierto is the fourth album recorded by Spanish synth-pop band Mecano in 1985. The album is the only live album the band recorded, and it only included the earlier work of the band. It was recorded live during the band's 1984-85 tour. This would be the last album under CBS records. The album would be released June 29, 1985. The only single release for this album was the live version of "Aire". Some of the tracks were taken from the 1984 concert in Segovia (Spain), which included Warren Cann from Ultravox and Hans Zimmer.
Live in Brasília is the fifth live concert by Mexican Latin pop group RBD. The material was recorded at the Esplanada dos Ministérios in Brasília, Brazil on April 21, 2008, in a front of a crowd of more than 500,000 people, the biggest show of the band's career. The live video album shows the free concert RBD presented during the 48th anniversary of the Brazilian capital, which formed part of the group's Empezar Desde Cero World Tour (2008). The DVD was released in Brazil on March 26, 2009 and in Mexico on June 9, 2009. The CD and streaming were released worldwide on October 5, 2020.
The 10th Annual Latin Grammy Awards took place on Thursday, November 5, 2009, at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. This was the second time the show took place in Las Vegas. Juan Gabriel was honored as the Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year on November 4, the day prior to the telecast. Calle 13 were the big winners, winning five awards including Album of the Year. 2009 marked the tenth anniversary of the Latin Grammy Awards.

Lourdes Robles is a singer-songwriter and actress, born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her career started in the early 1980s as part of duo Lourdes y Carlos, releasing two albums. The duo split and Robles began a solo career, acting in "Barrio Cuatro Calles" and "Generaciones", along Puerto-Rican performer Chayanne. She also performed in some musical productions, including Hello, Dolly!, Into the Woods, and The Fantasticks.
Ignacio Cano Andrés, better known as Nacho Cano, is a Spanish arranger, composer, musician and record producer. He and his brother showed an interest in music in their young lives. At 5, he began to play the Spanish guitar and at 12 he started his first band called "Prisma", with Toti Arboles and Eduardo Benavente, both of whom would later make up the core of the sociocultural movement that took place in Spain after Franco's death, known as the "Movida Madrileña". After playing in several different bands in his early teens, Nacho formed Mecano with his brother Jose and his brother's friend Ana Torroja. At 16, Nacho wrote "Hoy No Me Puedo Levantar". Mecano signed their first record deal with CBS, when Nacho was 17 years old. This first album smashed all sales records in Spain, selling 1,000,000 copies in three months.

Los Secretos are a Spanish rock band founded in Madrid in 1978 and often associated with the movida madrileña movement.
Mexican entertainer Paulina Rubio has released four video albums and has appeared in fifty music videos and three guest appearances. From her debut studio album La Chica Dorada (1992), she released music videos for the singles "Mío" and "Amor De Mujer", all directed by Ángel Flores and released from 1992–93. For the first of these, she earned an nomination ERES Award for Best Video. She followed with three other music videos from her second album 24 Kilates (1993), "Nieva, Nieva", "Él Me Engañó" and "Asunto De Dos", directed by Ángel Flores, Daniel Gruener and Tito Lara, respectively Rubio's third studio album El Tiempo Es Oro (1995) spawned the singles "Te Daría Mi Vida" and "Nada De Ti", whose music videos was directed by Carlos Marcovich. This was followed by Planeta Paulina's videos: "Siempre Tuya Desde La Raíz", a futuristic video with a concept cosmic and 70's dance, "Solo Por Ti", recorded in a barren desert of Mexico and "Enamorada", which tells the story of gay couple. The three videos was directed by Tito Lara from 1992-1997.
