Yanaturmysh is a village in Almaty Region south-eastern of Kazakhstan. [1] It is located in the Enbekshikazakh District, approximately 75 kilometers north-east of Almaty.
The vast territory of Kazakhstan spans across 2,700,000 km2 (1,000,000 sq mi). The population density is low in Kazakhstan, and the centers of industry and agriculture are spread out and remote from world markets.
Almaty, formerly Alma-Ata, is the largest city in Kazakhstan, with a population of over two million. The Almaty Television Tower, or simply Almaty Tower, formally the Koktobe TV Tower is a 371.5-metre-high (1,219 ft) steel television tower built between 1975 and 1983 in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The tower is located on high slopes of Kok Tobe mountain south-east of downtown Almaty. Unlike other similar TV towers, it is not a concrete, but a steel tubular structure. It is the tallest free-standing tubular steel structure in the world.
Kazakhstan is divided into 17 regions. The regions are further subdivided into districts. Three cities, Almaty, Shymkent, and the capital city Astana, do not belong to their surrounding regions.
Air Astana is an airline and the flag carrier of Kazakhstan. The 2011 Asian Winter Games, also known as Astana-Almaty 2011, was a continental winter multi-sport event held from January 30 to February 6, 2011 in Astana and Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was the first time that Kazakhstan hosted such a large event since independence from the Soviet Union. The documents for the hosting city were signed in Kuwait on March 4, 2006.
Almaty Region, formerly known as the Alma-Ata Region until 1993, is a region in Kazakhstan, located in the southeastern part of the country. Its capital, from 1997 to 2022 was the city of Taldyqorğan. But with the new creation of Jetysu Region in 2022, Taldyqorğan was chosen to be its capital, and the capital of Almaty Region was moved to the city of Qonaev.

Talgar is a town in Almaty Region, southeastern Kazakhstan. It is the administrative center of Talgar District. The town is located between Almaty and Esik, 25 km from Almaty and several kilometres east of Birlik. Population: 45,529 ; 43,353.

Almaty Metro is a rapid transit/metro system in Almaty, the largest city and a former capital of Kazakhstan. The first line of the system was opened on 1 December 2011, after more than 23 years of construction. A 2.9-kilometre (1.8 mi), two-station extension of the Metro to Moskva station opened on 18 April 2015, followed by a 3.1 kilometres (1.9 mi), two-station extension to Bauyrzhan Momyshuly on 30 May 2022. This is the only metro system in Kazakhstan.
Akbulak or Akbulak Micro District is a western suburb of Almaty in Almaty Region of south-eastern Kazakhstan. Akbulak lies off the M33 highway and has a notable New Russian Orthodox church.

The Almaty Cup was a tennis tournament held in Almaty, Kazakhstan from 2007 until 2009. The event was part of the Association of Tennis Professionals Challenger Tour and was played on clay courts until its final edition in 2009, which was on outdoor hard courts. There were two editions in 2007.

Winter Universiade 2017, the XXVIII Winter Universiade, was a multi-sport winter event which took place in Almaty, Kazakhstan from 29 January to 8 February 2017. On 29 November 2011, FISU announced that Winter Universiade 2017 would be hosted in Almaty.
