Yasmin Ingham (born 13 May 1997) is a British equestrian. In 2022 Ingham won individual gold at the World Eventing Championships riding Banzai du Loir. In June 2024, she was confirmed as part of the Great Britain team to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Ingham was born and raised on the Isle of Man where her mother Lesley was a manager of a large equestrian centre called Kennaa. Ingham said her first words were "on it" when she was petting her mother's horse, Remy. [1]
Ingham joined the Isle of Man branch of the Pony Club and competed in hunter showing classes and qualified for the Royal International Horse Show and Horse of the Year Show before deciding she wanted to concentrate on eventing in 2010. In 2012, riding Craig Mor Tom in Fontainebleau she competed for the first time for the British team at the Pony European Eventing Championships. They did so again in 2013 in Arezzo, Italy where they won both individual and team gold medals. In 2013 she was named Isle of Man Sportswoman of the Year. In 2015, riding Mary King's former Mount Imperial Cavalier (or 'Archie') she won the British national junior title. In 2018, riding Rehy DJ Ingham won the National Young Rider Championships at Houghton Hall and then finished fourth at the Young Rider Europeans in Fontainebleau. In 2019 Ingham won her fourth age-group British championships when riding Sandman 7 they triumphed in the under-25 British Championship. [2]
Ingham made her five-star in the spring of 2022 in Kentucky and finished second behind Michael Jung and his horse FischerChipmunk. [3] In 2022 on her senior World Championship debut, Ingham clinched individual gold at the World Eventing Championships riding Banzai du Loir. They were third after the dressage and second after the cross country before going clear in the show jumping at Pratoni del Vivaro , Italy, to finish ahead of 2020 Olympic winner Julia Krajewski aboard Amande de B'Neville in silver and New Zealand's Tim Price with Falco in bronze. A year later she achieved a third place finish at the Luhmuhlen five-star, won the four-star SAP-Cup and won team gold with Banzai du Loir, representing Great Britain at the 2023 European Championships. She also claimed second place at the Blenheim four-star that year. Ingham achieved her best five-star result to date at the 2024 Kentucky Three-Day Event, finishing second to GB teammate Oliver Townend. In May 2024, she was one of the British nominated entries for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. [6] [7] In June 2024, she was confirmed as part of the Great Britain team to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Banzai du Loir. [8] As a reserve rider, she did not compete, but Team GB successfully defended their Olympic title, taking the gold medal ahead of France.
Mary Elizabeth King is a British equestrian who competes in eventing. She has represented Great Britain at six Olympics from 1992 to 2012, winning team silver in 2004 and 2012, and team bronze in 2008. At the World Equestrian Games, she won team gold in 1994 and 2010, and team silver in 2006. She has also won four team golds and one team bronze medal at the European Eventing Championships.
William Speed Lane Fox-Pitt is an English equestrian who competes in eventing. His career highlights include winning three Olympic medals in the team event, with silver in 2004 and 2012, and bronze in 2008. At the World Equestrian Games, he won team gold and individual silver in 2010, and team silver and individual bronze in 2014. He also won World team medals in 2002 and 2006. At the European Championships, he has won six team gold medals, as well as Individual silver in 1997 and 2005, and Individual bronze in 2013. He is the recordman CCI*****'s winner with 14 grand slam titles. In 2011, he became the first rider to win five different five-star events, having won the Burghley Horse Trials a record six times, Rolex Kentucky three times, Stars of Pau twice, the Badminton Horse Trials twice, and the Luhmühlen Horse Trials once (2008). A serious fall in 2015 left him in a coma for two weeks, but he came back to make the British eventing team and attend the 2016 Summer Olympics. He was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2018 Birthday Honours.
Lucinda Jane Green is a British equestrian and journalist who competed in eventing. She is the 1982 World Champion and twice European Champion (1975–77). She also won World team Gold (1982), three European team golds and an Olympic silver medal in the team event in 1984. Between 1973 and 1984, she won a record six times at the Badminton Horse Trials. She also won the Burghley Horse Trials in 1977 and 1981. She was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 1978 Birthday Honours for services to Horse Riding.
The Blenheim Horse Trials is an annual international three-day event held in the park of Blenheim Palace, at Woodstock, England. It is rated CCI***.
Kristina "Tina" Cook, is a British three-day eventing rider. She is the 2009 European Champion and a three-time Olympic medallist, winning individual and team bronze medals in 2008 and team silver in 2012. She has also won two World team golds and four European team golds.
Benjamin Richard Maher MBE is a British show jumper. He represented Britain at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, 2009 European Championships in Windsor, 2012 London Olympics, 2016 Rio Olympics, the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and the 2024 Paris Olympics. He won the team jumping gold at the London Olympics with Team GB, their first team jumping gold medal for 60 years, an individual gold for Great Britain at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and team jumping gold again at the 2024 Paris Summer Games. That win tied him with three-day eventer Richard Meade and dressage rider Charlotte Dujardin as the most successful British Olympic equestrians.
Laura Tomlinson MBE is a German-British dressage rider competing at Olympic level. As of 30 June 2012 the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) ranked her 3rd in the world riding Mistral Højris and 36th on Andretti H. In that year, Tomlinson, riding Mistral Højris under her maiden name of Laura Bechtolsheimer, won two medals in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London; gold for Great Britain in the team dressage with Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin, the first ever Olympic team gold in the discipline for her country, and bronze in the individual dressage behind gold medalist and compatriot Dujardin.
Carl Hester is a British dressage rider competing at Olympic level. As of 8 August 2012, the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) rank him 12th in the world riding Uthopia. In 2012, Hester formed part of the Great Britain Dressage team that won gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Charlotte Susan Jane Dujardin is a British dressage rider, equestrian, and writer. A multiple World and Olympic champion, Dujardin has been described as the dominant dressage rider of her era. She held the complete set of available individual elite dressage titles at one point: the individual Olympic freestyle, World freestyle and Grand Prix Special, World Cup individual dressage and European freestyle, and Grand Prix Special titles. Dujardin was the first rider to hold this complete set of titles at the same time.
Nicola Wilson is a British equestrian rider specialising in three-day eventing. Riding Opposition Buzz, she won a team gold at the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games and team silver at the 2012 Olympic Games. She is also a seven-time medallist at the European Championships, including team golds in 2009, 2017 and 2021 and individual gold and bronze in 2021 and 2017, respectively.

Georgia Wilson is a British equestrian, who won bronze medals in the individual championship test grade II and individual freestyle test grade II events at the 2020 Summer Paralympics, and the Individual championship test grade II event at the 2024 Summer Paralympics. She also won the individual championship grade II event at the 2019 FEI European Championships.
Suzanna Hext is a British Paralympic swimmer and equestrian, who won three gold medals in dressage at the 2017 FEI European Championships, and two medals at both the 2019 and 2023 World Para Swimming Championships. She finished fourth in two S5 swimming events at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
