North Jeolla Province,also known as Jeonbuk,is a province of South Korea in the Honam region in the southwest of the Korean Peninsula. North Jeolla borders the provinces of South Chungcheong to the north,North Gyeongsang and South Gyeongsang to the east and South Jeolla to the south. North Jeolla was established in 1896 from the northern part of the old Jeolla province,one of the Eight Provinces of Korea.

Gageodo,also known as Soheuksando due to its location near Heuksan-do,is an island in the Yellow Sea. It is within the administrative boundaries of Sinan County,Jeollanam-do,South Korea,and is connected by the Namhae Star ferry to the city of Mokpo. The island's 9.2 square kilometres (3.6 sq mi) are home to about 470 people.
Cheonghaejin was a major military headquarters and trading hub located on Wando island,South Jeolla province of South Korea,and established by Korean general Jang Bogo in 828 ACE during the Silla kingdom period. It traded mainly with Tang Dynasty China and Japan,and served as a military hub to combat various pirate factions.
Anmado or Anma Island is an island off the coast of South Jeolla Province (Jeollanam-do),South Korea. Anmado covers an area of 6.09 km2 and is home to approximately 200 residents. The landscape features several peaks:Mount Dwit (Dwitsan) (177 m),Peak Mak (Makbong) (167 m),and Mount Geon (Geonsan) (145 m). Anmado is suited for agriculture,and many of its residents work as farmers. Its main agricultural products include rice,wheat,corn,garlic,bean,sesame,and pepper. There is currently one elementary school located on the island.
The sites of fossilized dinosaurs across the southern South Korean coast is a tentative UNESCO World Heritage site registered by the South Korean government since 2002. Although the evidence is rare,fossils reveal that there were dinosaurs in South Korea. The ancient remains of dinosaurs are located within a beautiful display of nature that includes petrified wood,the tracks of extinct dinosaurs and other animals,the exposure of geographic rock layers,and particular river drifts. This dinosaur park is well protected by the local governments and by the Marine National Park and is an invaluable resource for understanding the ecosystem and nesting behaviors of dinosaurs of the Mesozoic.
Boeunsan is the name of a mountain in Gangjin county,Jeollanam-do province,South Korea. Its highest point is at Udubong (우두봉),439 meters.
Haui-do is an island off the South Korean coast in the Yellow Sea,part of Sinan County in Jeollanam-do province. Its name means 'a lotus floating on water' and although it is an island by name,it actually comprises 56 separate islands,only nine of which are inhabited. Approximately 57 kilometers to shore,it has an area of 14.46 km²and is home to more than 1,900 people. It was the birthplace of former South Korean president Kim Dae-jung.
The Liancourt Rocks,also known by their Korean name of Dokdo or their Japanese name of Takeshima,are a group of islets in the Sea of Japan between the Korean peninsula and the Japanese archipelago,administered by South Korea. The Liancourt Rocks comprise two main islets and 35 smaller rocks;the total surface area of the islets is 0.187554 square kilometres and the highest elevation of 168.5 metres (553 ft) is on the West Islet. The Liancourt Rocks lie in rich fishing grounds that may contain large deposits of natural gas. The English name Liancourt Rocks is derived from Le Liancourt,the name of a French whaling ship that came close to being wrecked on the rocks in 1849.

It covers an area of 19.7 km2 and consists of several peaks:Munamsan,Gitdaebong,Seonyubong,Sangnasan. It is within the administrative boundaries of Sinan County,Jeollanam-do,South Korea since 1969. The island's 19.7 km2 are home to about 3,133 people.

Yudal Mountain is a mountain located in Mokpo city,Jeollanam-do in South Korea. It is one of the "8 Scenes of Mokpo" and is a symbol of the city. At the summit,thousands of islands can be seen with several hills of strange looking rocks. The nickname of the mountain is Mountain Gaegol,which refers to Mountain Geumgang in North Korea during the summer. The three highest peaks are called first,second and madang bawi(rock). Two monuments are found on or near the mountain;the first is a statue of General Yi Sun-sin,the other is of a famous singer Lee Nan-young.
Wolmido (월미도),also known as Wŏlmi-do,is an island 1 kilometer (0.62 mi) off the coast of South Korea near Incheon. It was connected to the mainland by a highway in 1989,and was later connected by a monorail which opened in late 2019. It is a weekend destination and tourist area,with restaurants,the theme park Play Hill and the areas Meeting Square,Arts Square,Performance Square,and Good Harvest Square.
