The Cockroaches were an Australian pub rock band primarily active throughout the 1980s. The band was founded in 1979 by the Field brothers—Paul, John, and Anthony —and Tony Henry on drums and Joseph Hallion on saxophone. They were joined in 1981 by Jeff Fatt on keyboards. In 1986 they signed with an independent label, Regular Records, which issued their first three albums, including The Cockroaches, which peaked at No. 9 on the Australian Kent Music Report Albums Chart; it sold 70,000 copies and was certified platinum by their label. The album spawned the single "She's the One", which became the band's biggest hit when it peaked at No. 7 on the Kent Music Report Singles Chart in April 1987. In 1988, The Daily Telegraph described the Cockroaches, who played over 300 gigs a year, as the "Hardest Working Rock'n'Roll Band" in the country.
Boomtown Records was an independent record label founded by Jaddan Comerford in October 2002 and based in Melbourne, Australia. In 2011 the label was rebranded with Staple Management to new company, UNFD.
The Getaway Plan are an Australian rock music band, which formed in 2004. Founding mainstays are Matthew Wright on lead vocals, piano and rhythm guitar and Clint Ellis on lead guitar. They were joined in 2014 by Dan Maio on drums, and his brother, Mike Maio on bass guitar. Former long-term members are Dave Anderson on bass guitar and Aaron Barnett on drums and percussion.

They are known for their highly personal songs, often dealing with depression, anxiety, death, substance abuse, and suicide, many lyrics stemming from vocalist Joel Birch's past struggles. The Amity Affliction released their latest album, Not Without My Ghosts, on 12 May 2023.

High Hopes is the third EP by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. The first pressing came in a CD/DVD package with subsequent pressings lacking the DVD. It marks a shift in the band's sound, with the addition of keyboard and samples, as well as acoustic sections. On 23 October 2014 the band released the last 500 copies of the EP on their webstore.

Chasing Ghosts is the third studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. It was released on 7 September 2012 worldwide. Roadrunner Records handled the release worldwide. The theme of death and suicide is a centerpiece of the album. The album was influenced by Finch's What It Is to Burn (2002). Chasing Ghosts debuted at No. 1 on the Australian albums chart with 12,911 first week sales, becoming the band's first No. 1 on the chart and being one of the very few rock bands to achieve that position in Australia. Chasing Ghosts was certified Gold by the ARIA for 35,000 shipments in 2013. It is their only record to feature guitarist Imran Siddiqi and the first without keyboardist Trad Nathan.

This is also the last album with founding lead guitarist, Troy Brady.

Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them is the seventh studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. It was released on 21 February 2020 through Pure Noise Records and was produced by Matt Squire. It is the band's first album release with the label. It is also the first album to feature new drummer Joe Longobardi as official band member, who replaced Ryan Burt due to his mental health reasons on 5 February 2018. Additionally, Longobardi also performed as a session drummer on the band's sixth studio album Misery.
"Youngbloods" is a song recorded by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction in 2010. It was included as the title and fifth track on their second studio album. A music video was released in July 2011
