This Could Be Heartbreak is the fifth studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. The album was released through Roadrunner Records on 12 August 2016. [1] It is the first album without guitarist and founding member Troy Brady, following his departure in 2014. It is also the last album to feature drummer Ryan Burt after his departure in early 2018.
On 18 May 2016, the band previewed their new album with the lead single "I Bring the Weather with Me". [2] On 11 July, they released the title track as the next single, being accompanied with a music video directed by Mark Staubach. [3] On 9 August, the band premiered the lyric video for their third single "All Fucked Up". [4]
On 6 June 2016, the band announced a North American headlining tour to support their upcoming album, starting on 10 September at Denver's High Elevation Festival and finishing on 22 October at The Glass House in Pomona, California. Being as an Ocean, Hundredth and Trophy Eyes were supporting acts on all dates, with Deadships on select shows. [5] On 1 July, they announced a UK headlining tour in December, beginning on 4 December at The Waterfront in Norwich and ending on 10 December at the O2 Academy Bristol. Northlane, Stray from the Path and Wage War were supporting acts during the tour. [6] Four days later, the band added European dates to their tour, starting on 29 November at Leipzig's Täubchenthal and finishing on 22 December at Madrid's Sala Arena. [7] On 21 August, they announced a 13-day regional Australian tour, beginning on 21 January 2017 at the Lake Kawana Community Centre. Hellions and Ocean Grove were supporting acts on the tour. [8]

The theme of death and suicide is a centerpiece of the album. The album was influenced by Finch's What It Is to Burn (2002). Chasing Ghosts debuted at No. 1 on the Australian albums chart with 12,911 first week sales, becoming the band's first No. 1 on the chart and being one of the very few rock bands to achieve that position in Australia. Chasing Ghosts was certified Gold by the ARIA for 35,000 shipments in 2013. It is their only record to feature guitarist Imran Siddiqi and the first without keyboardist Trad Nathan.

Mesmer is the fourth studio album by Australian heavy metal band Northlane. It was released on 24 March 2017 through UNFD, with no announcement prior to the release. It was produced by David Bendeth and recorded at The Barber Shop Studio in Hopatcong. It follows the group's slight departure from their metalcore roots and towards a more alternative and experimental sound, as established on their previous release, Node. It peaked at No. 3 on the ARIA Albums Chart. It is the last Northlane album to feature their founding bassist Alex Milovic as a member of the band.
Misery is the sixth studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. The album was released on 24 August 2018. It is the first album without drummer Ryan Burt, following his departure in February 2018. It is the first album to feature Joe Longobardi on drums. However, during recording and the release of this album, he was only a session drummer. He was not made official until the end of 2018. It is also the first album to feature Joel Birch performing clean vocals on some tracks on the album along with the album being a departure from the band's usual straight metalcore sound and instead included some electronic elements on top of the metalcore sound. It is the band's final album for Roadrunner and UNFD.

Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them is the seventh studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. It was released on 21 February 2020 through Pure Noise Records and was produced by Matt Squire. It is the band's first album release with the label. It is also the first album to feature new drummer Joe Longobardi as official band member, who replaced Ryan Burt due to his mental health reasons on 5 February 2018. Additionally, Longobardi also performed as a session drummer on the band's sixth studio album Misery.
Not Without My Ghosts is the eighth studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. The album was released on 12 May 2023 through Pure Noise Records and was self-produced by the band.
