The Amity Affliction is an Australian post-hardcore band from Gympie, Queensland, formed in 2003.

The band's current line-up consists of Ahren Stringer (bass guitar, vocals), Joel Birch (vocals), Dan Brown (guitar) and Joe Longobardi (drums). The Amity Affliction have released eight studio albums: Severed Ties , released in 2008, Youngbloods in 2010 which debuted at number 6 on the ARIA Charts, and Chasing Ghosts in 2012 and Let the Ocean Take Me , both of which debuted at number 1 on the ARIA charts and went ARIA Gold, This Could Be Heartbreak in 2016, Misery in 2018, Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them in 2020, and Not Without My Ghosts in 2023. [1]

Youngbloods is the second studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. It was released on 18 June 2010 through Boomtown Records. It debuted at number 6 on the ARIA Charts. Grammy-nominated producer Machine produced Youngbloods. The drums were recorded at Breakwater Music Studio in Hazlet, NJ. All other tracks were recorded at the Machine Shop in Weehawken, NJ. This is the first and the only record to feature guitarist Clint Owen Ellis (Splattering), where Troy Brady temporarily switched to rhythm guitar for Ellis to take the lead. It's also the last record that features keyboardist Trad Nathan.

Chasing Ghosts is the third studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. It was released on 7 September 2012 worldwide. Roadrunner Records handled the release worldwide. The theme of death and suicide is a centerpiece of the album. The album was influenced by Finch's What It Is to Burn (2002). Chasing Ghosts debuted at No. 1 on the Australian albums chart with 12,911 first week sales, becoming the band's first No. 1 on the chart and being one of the very few rock bands to achieve that position in Australia. Chasing Ghosts was certified Gold by the ARIA for 35,000 shipments in 2013. It is their only record to feature guitarist Imran Siddiqi and the first without keyboardist Trad Nathan.

Everyone Loves You... Once You Leave Them is the seventh studio album by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction. It was released on 21 February 2020 through Pure Noise Records and was produced by Matt Squire. It is the band's first album release with the label. It is also the first album to feature new drummer Joe Longobardi as official band member, who replaced Ryan Burt due to his mental health reasons on 5 February 2018. Additionally, Longobardi also performed as a session drummer on the band's sixth studio album Misery.

"Youngbloods" is a song recorded by Australian post-hardcore band the Amity Affliction in 2010. It was included as the title and fifth track on their second studio album. A music video was released in July 2011.
