Youngstown City School District is a public school system headquartered in Youngstown, Ohio.

The majority of the school district is in Mahoning County, [1] while a portion is in Trumbull County. [2] In Mahoning County the district, in addition to all of that county's portion of Youngstown, includes a small portion of Campbell, as well as most of Coitsville Township and a section of Boardman Township. [1] In Trumbull County, it includes some, but not all of, the sections of Youngstown in that county. [2]

Uniforms

All Youngstown public schools previously mandated that students wore uniforms. [5] However, in 2016, former district CEO Krish Mohip retracted such requirement.[ citation needed ]
