Zanzibar Premier League, also known as PBZ Premier League, is the top division of the Zanzibar Football Association. It was firstly created in 1926 and became official in 1981.

The first edition of the cup was in 2004. However, the cup is played between Zanzibari clubs together with clubs from Tanzania mainland. Since 2013 clubs from Kenya and Uganda have been invited to take part occasionally.

The 2022—23 Zanzibar Premier League was a season of top-flight football in Zanzibar, a semi-autonomous region of Tanzania which is an associate member of CAF. The season started on 2nd September 2022.
