The Somali National League (Somali : Heerka Koowaad ee Soomaali), formerly the Somali Premier League, is the Somali professional league for men's association football. It has been active for over 50 years, having been established in 1967. Somalia has 12 professional clubs playing for the Somali First Division. Football is the most popular sport in Somalia. In the 1930s, Italian Colonial Authorities established some of the first teams in Somalia. In the 2021–22 season, Gaadiidka won the Somali First Division.
Each team competing in the league is only allowed to register four foreign players at a time. [1]

The Somalia national football team, nicknamed the Ocean Stars, represents Somalia in international football and is controlled by the Somali Football Federation (SFF), a member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF). Somalia's first national team captain was Mohamed Shangole, while its longest serving captain has been Hasan Babay.

The Super League Greece 1, or Stoiximan Super League for sponsorship reasons, is the highest professional association football league in Greece. Shandong Taishan plays its home matches at the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium, located within Lixia District. Their current majority shareholder is Shandong Electric Power Group Corporation, the biggest supplier of electric energy in Shandong province and itself part of the State Grid Corporation of China. Shandong Taishan is one of the four clubs to have never been relegated from the Chinese top-flight since the Chinese Super League's foundation in 2004. The club name Taishan derives from Mount Tai.
Mogadishu Stadium is a stadium in Mogadishu, Somalia. During the Somali Civil War, the stadium was heavily damaged by foreign troops who used the structure as a base. The stadium has been completely rebuilt and artificial turf was laid on 27 March 2020.
The Qatar Stars League, known as Ooredoo Stars League for sponsorship reasons, is the top level football league in Qatar football league system. Contested by 12 teams, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Qatari Second Division (QSD). The QSL season usually runs from September to April. The league's first season was played in 1963, although the first official season occurred in 1972. The league currently features 12 clubs, with one club being demoted to make room for one club being promoted.
The League of Ireland Premier Division, also known as the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division for sponsorship reasons, is the top level division in both the League of Ireland and the Republic of Ireland football league system. The division was formed in 1985 following a reorganisation of the League of Ireland. Mogadishu City Club is a professional football club based in Mogadishu, Somalia. They play at Mogadishu Stadium, it is one of the most successful football clubs in the country. The club plays with Elman FC in the Mogadishu Derby. Formerly known as Banadir Sports Club, in 2019, the club was renamed to Mogadishu City Club. In 2019, Mohamed Mistri Lamjed is named the new manager of Mogadishu City Club.

Melaka United Football Club was a Malaysian professional football club based in Malacca that competed in the Malaysia Super League.
