Zero Mile Freedom Park^[1] is an elevated metro station on the North-South corridor of the Orange Line of Nagpur Metro in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. It is named after the nearby Zero Mile Stone which was built in 1907 to mark the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India.^[2] The station was opened on 21 August 2021.^[3]

The Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation (now Mahametro) launched a global competition on 5 June 2015 inviting bids for the Zero Mile and Sitaburdi metro stations.^[4] Twenty-three architecture firms submitted designs in response. The metro authority shortlisted 13 firms for the detailed design stage, and eventually requested four firms to submit designs. A panel of architects appointed by the authority to pick the winning design, and the preliminary design of the winning entry was unveiled by the metro authority in May 2016.

The Zero Mile station is a 20-storey building with two basements. The building's facade is made of locally-sourced glass and stone. It is located on a 12,000 square metre plot of land on Wardha Road.^[5] Mahametro completed the demolition of a two-storey building of the fisheries department that was previously located on the site in January 2018.^[6]

The station is equipped with 8 escalators, 10 lifts, and also features multi-level parking with a capacity to accommodate 244 cars. Apart from the metro station and related facilities, the station building also contains hotels, restaurants, commercial places, offices, and a banquet hall. Zero Mile station also provides connectivity with the heritage walk around the Zero Mile Stone and Shaheed Smarak monuments.^[5] Also located near the station are an amphitheatre and a survey museum that will display the results of surveys conducted during the British Raj.^[7]

A Potain Tower Crane was utilized to speed up construction of the station.^[8]

Pune Metro is a mass rapid transit system serving the city of Pune, India. The system comprises 3 lines with a combined length of 54.14 km (33.64 mi), of which 24.12 km (14.99 mi) on two lines are operational as of August 2023. The extended metro line from Ruby Hall Clinic to Ramwadi, including the Bund Garden, Kalyani Nagar and Ramwadi metro stations, covering a distance of 6 km, was inaugrated on 6 March 2024. The 16.59 km (10.31 mi) Purple Line from PCMC Bhavan to Swargate runs on an elevated viaduct between PCMC Bhavan to Range Hills, from where it goes underground. The Aqua Line runs from Vanaz to Ramwadi covering a distance of 14.66 km (9.11 mi) on an elevated viaduct. The 23.33 km (14.50 mi) elevated Line 3 will run from the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park in Hinjawadi via Balewadi to Civil Court. All three lines will align at the Civil Court interchange station.

The Navi Mumbai Metro is a rapid transit system in the city of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The planning and construction of the Navi Mumbai Metro was overseen by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). The system is planned to consist of five rail lines covering a total distance of 106.4 kilometres (66.1 mi), out of which one is operational and the other four are being planned. The foundation stone for the project was laid on 1 May 2011, with a target completion date of 2014. After over 9 years of delays, due to slowdowns in construction caused by lack of labour and adequate funding, along with land acquisition issues, the Line-1 of the metro commenced operations on 17 November 2023.

Zero Mile Stone is a monument built by the British during the Great Trigonometrical Survey of India in 1907 in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The Zero Mile Stone consists of a pillar made up of sandstone and another small stone representing the GTS Standard Bench Mark, and four stucco horses that were added later. The height of the top of the pillar is 310.948 m (1,020.17 ft) above mean sea level. In 2008, The Times of India undertook to maintain the monument for the next 5 years.

Phase I of the metro project cost was estimated to cost ₹8,650 crore but the final project cost incurred was ₹9,279 crore (US$1.2 billion). In February 2014, the Government of Maharashtra gave approval for the Metro project, while the Government of India's Ministry of Urban Development had given "In Principle" approval for the project. On 20 August 2014, Union Cabinet gave approval for the development of the project, and the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone on 21 August. Construction began on 31 May 2015, with trial run beginning on 30 September 2017.

The Greater Nashik Metro or Metro NEO is a proposed rapid transit system in the Nashik Metropolitan Region. The system is proposed to reduce traffic congestion as well as provide direct connectivity to Nashik city from its suburbs. The Greater Nashik Metro will connect suburbs of Nashik city like Deolali, Nashik Road, Upnagar, Nashik Airport, Sinnar, Igatpuri, Gangapur Road, Trimbakeshwar, Dindori, Bhagur, Niphad, Adgaon, Ghoti Budruk and Girnare.

The Mumbai–Nagpur High-Speed Rail Corridor is a proposed high-speed rail line connecting Maharashtra's two major cities, Mumbai and Nagpur. It will be the second line which links Mumbai.

It was opened to the public on 8 March 2019. The station is integrated with the Khapri railway station, and is linked with Wardha Road via a subway that passes under the main railway line.

Sitabuldi is an elevated metro interchange station on the North-South corridor of the Orange Line and East-West corridor of the Aqua Line of Nagpur Metro in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India which allows passengers to transfer between the Orange Line and the Aqua Line. It was opened to the public on 8 March 2019. Aqua Line services commenced on 28 January 2020. The station covers a total area of 250,000 square feet.

Nagpur broad-gauge Metro is a commuter rail project planned for the city of Nagpur and extending up to adjacent areas of Wardha, Yavatmal, Narkhed, Ramtek, Bhandara, Amravati, Wadsa and Chhindwara in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, India. This project will be executed by Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited. According to some Government officials first broad gauge metro will run in December 2023 on Nagpur to Yavatmal line via Wardha.And inauguration will be taken place in hand of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
