Levin Zhu Yunlai (born 29 July 1958 [1] ) is a Chinese businessman.
He is the son of Zhu Rongji,the former Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China.
In 1994,he graduated from the University of Wisconsin,studying atmospheric science.
In 1998,Zhu was invited by Wang Qishan to join China International Capital Corporation,which was then fledgling investment bank based in China,with Morgan Stanley as a shareholder. Zhu was CEO of the firm between 2004 and 2014. [2] [3]
Zhu and his father,Zhu Rongji,by family tradition,are descendants of Zhu Yuanzhang,the Hongwu Emperor,the founding emperor of the Ming dynasty,through the line of Zhu Pian,Zhu Yuanzhang's 18th son. [4]
Zhu Rongji is a retired Chinese politician who served as the premier of China from 1998 to 2003 and member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from 1992 to 2002 along with CCP general secretary Jiang Zemin.

Xu Da (1332–1385),courtesy name Tiande,known by his title as Duke of Wei (魏國公),later posthumously as Prince of Zhongshan (中山王),was a Chinese military general and official who lived in the late Yuan dynasty and early Ming dynasty. He was a friend of the Hongwu Emperor,the founder and first ruler of the Ming dynasty,and assisted him in overthrowing the Mongol-led Yuan dynasty and establishing the Ming dynasty. He was also the father of Empress Xu,who married the third Ming ruler,the Yongle Emperor,and maternal grandfather of the Hongxi Emperor. All but two subsequent Ming and Southern Ming emperors were descended from him.
The Red Turban Rebellions were uprisings against the Yuan dynasty between 1351 and 1368,eventually leading to its collapse. Remnants of the Yuan imperial court retreated northwards and is thereafter known as the Northern Yuan in historiography.
Chang Yuchun,courtesy name Boren and art name Yanheng,was a Chinese military general of the Ming dynasty. The Huang-Ming Zuxun were admonitions left by the Hongwu Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang,the founder of the Chinese Ming dynasty,to his descendants. Wuyuan was the regnal year used by the Western Wu regime prior to Zhu Yuanzhang's establishment of the Ming dynasty. On New Year's Day of 1364,Zhu Yuanzhang proclaimed himself the Prince of Wu (吴王) in Yingtian Prefecture and established the Western Wu regime. He nominally respected the Han Song regime but suspended the Longfeng era name. In December 1366,Han Lin'er,emperor of Han Song,was drowned in a shipwreck while crossing the Yangtze River. Zhu Yuanzhang took the next year (1367) as "Wu 1". On 23 January 1368,Zhu Yuanzhang proclaimed himself emperor in Yingtian Prefecture,establishing the Ming dynasty with the era name "Hongwu".
Wang Guangyang,courtesy name Chaozong (朝宗),was a Chinese official who served as a chancellor during the reign of the Hongwu Emperor in the Ming dynasty. Serving in both the military and civil bureaucracies,he ascended as high as the position of Grand Chancellor of the Right (右丞相).
