Ziana Zain is the second studio album by Malaysian singer Ziana Zain, released on April 12, 1993, by BMG Pacific. The album was produced by Zuriani, M. Nasir, Saari Amri, and Anuar. It reached numbers one in Malaysia, where it was certified Platinum for shipments of over fifty thousand copies. At the 1st Anugerah Industri Muzik, Ziana Zain was nominated for the Best Vocal Performance (Female).

Contents

The first single, "Anggapan Mu" topping the Carta Muzik-Muzik and many radio charts in Malaysia. The second single, "Putus Terpaksa", also topped Carta Muzik-Muzik, but it received mixed reviews with critics panning its high pitch structure as well as its lyrics which were rumoured to portray a girl falling in love with a drug addict. [1] Both singles were shortlisted in the semi-final of 1993's Anugerah Juara Lagu, but neither of the songs made it to the final round.[ citation needed ]

Ziana Zain has been certified Platinum by the RIM for selling 85,000 copies. [2]

Commercial performance

The album has sold over fifty thousand copies in the first five months. As of September 2003, Ziana Zain has sold 95,000 copies in the Malaysia. It was certified Platinum in the Malaysia and reached number 1 on the TELE-SKOP Chart. Ziana's popularity was also showing in Indonesia where the album topped the chart in ASIRI for two weeks, peaked at number three on the Indonesia Albums Chart and was certified Platinum for fifteen thousand copies sold. The most successful single from the album was "Putus Terpaksa" which peaked at number one on the Muzik-Muzik Chart. Other singles, which reached the Muzik-Muzik top 10 included: "Anggapan Mu" (number two), "Mimpi Mu Bukan Mimpi Ku" (number six) and "Kasih Ku Pertahankan" (number three).[ citation needed ]

Unplugged is a live album by Malaysian recording artist Siti Nurhaliza. It was released in multiple formats, both physical and digital in Malaysia on 30 June 2015. The main live tracks were all taken from her 2015 unplugged concert at Istana Budaya on 7 April 2015. The CD, digital download and LP record versions of the album however come with three new bonus songs, "Menatap dalam Mimpi", "Engkau" ("You") and "Mikraj Cinta". All were recorded specifically to accompany the three audio releases.

"Menatap dalam Mimpi" is a single by Malaysian artist, Siti Nurhaliza. It is the second bonus track from her live album, Unplugged to serve as a single after "Mikraj Cinta" in 2015. Music for the song is written by Aubrey Suwito while its lyrics are provided by Rozi Sang Dewi. A tribute to her late father, Tarudin Ismail, thematically the lyrics for "Menatap dalam Mimpi" revolves around her longing feelings for him. On 2 November 2016, its final official music video was uploaded to Siti Nurhaliza's official Vevo account after its first music video was retracted in less than 12 hours it was published in August.

Nur Ernie Shahirah binti Zakri is a Malaysian singer, an actress and a vocal teacher. She rose to fame after winning national singing competition, Bintang RTM in 2009. She won the Best Vocals award at the Anugerah Juara Lagu in 2018 alongside her duet partner, Syamel Fodzly. In addition to singing, she spent two years teaching music at the Bentley Music Academy in Mutiara Damansara, Petaling Jaya.

Haliza Hanim Abd Halim is a Malaysian singer and actress. She is one of Adnan Abu Hassan protégés and is considered one of Malaysia's best singers who dominated the music industry in the 2000s, in line with renowned vocalists such as Siti Nurhaliza, Jaclyn Victor, Dayang Nurfaizah and Misha Omar.
