"Då lyser en sol" is a Swedish language ballad, written in 1981 by Lasse Holm. In 1981, Elisabeth Andreasson recorded the song. The song text is, in an astronomical aspect, about the Sun and what it the Sun means for the life on Earth. The song text also describes how the dusk falls and the night arrives to the town. But it's also a love song about making a darling happy. The song is on the singer Elisabeth Andreassons 1981 album "Angel of the Morning". The song has later been sung by many artists, sometimes with a changed text. In 1986 Trygve Henrik Hoff wrote a Norwegian language text: Det skal lyse en sol, which Sissel Kyrkjebø sang. The Sissel Kyrkjebø version was on the Sveriges Radio hitlist Svensktoppen for 17 rounds, during the period 8 November 1987-6 March 1988, with 4th place as best result there.
"Papaya Coconut" is a song, written by Ingela Forsman and Lasse Holm. It was recorded with lyrics in Swedish by Kikki Danielsson on her 1986 album Papaya Coconut, and is one of her most famous recordings. The lyrics are about travelling from the Earth's colder places to its hotter places. The song was a Svensktoppen #1 hit, being at the chart for 12 weeks from 11 January to 29 March 1987.

Birgit Nordin was a Swedish operatic soprano. She was a member of the Royal Swedish Opera from 1958 to 1986, and regularly appeared at the Drottningholm Festival where she performed twelve major Mozart roles, including Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro and Pamina in The Magic Flute. She also performed internationally, appearing in the Edinburgh International Festival, Glyndebourne Festival, Copenhagen and others. She became known as the Queen of the Night in Trollflöjten, Ingmar Bergman's film adaptation of Mozart's opera.

The song was also recorded in English, as "Don't Play a Sad Song after Midnight", and was released as a single. This version was entered into the "Castlebar Song Contest" of that year, which it ultimately won.

"Hej, mitt vinterland" is a song written by Britt Lindeborg. While not mentioning any holiday, the song is generally associated with Christmas. The song was recorded by Lena Conradson on her 1960 EP Banjo Boy.

With lyrics referring to childhood, it references snowy Christmases, probably on the Earth's Northern Hemisphere. Sjömansjul på Hawaii, also known as "Jag en ensam sjöman är" or "Det är julkväll på Hawaii", is a Christmas song, with lyrics by Helge Roundquist and music by Yngve Stoor. The lyrics describe a Swedish sailor visiting Hawaii at Christmastime, and longs back home to Sweden when the sailors celebrate Christmas on board their boat, moored to a wharf while the Sunshine.

Recorded by Helen Sjöholm and Stefan Nilsson, the song charted at Svensktoppen for 68 weeks from 24 October 2004 to 5 February 2006, peaking at second position before leaving the chart. The song also became famous with the 2004 film As It Is in Heaven.

"Som stormen river öppet hav" is a song written by Susanne Alfvengren and Ulf Wahlberg, and recorded as a duet by Susanne Alfvengren and Mikael Rickfors. It was released as a single in 1986 for the 1987 Swedish film A Film About Love, with the song "Om kärlek" as the B-side. The single peaked at number three on the Swedish Singles Chart. It also charted at Svensktoppen for 29 weeks between 25 January to 25 October 1987.
"Öppna din dörr" is a song written by Tommy Nilsson, and released as a single from his 1994 studio album, En kvinnas man. The single peaked at number 2 in Sweden and number 10 in Norway. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Öppna din dörr" reached number 45. It also became a Svensktoppen hit, charting for 24 weeks between 18 June-26 November 1994, topping the chart. It was also appointed "Svensktoppen song of the year 1994". The song became a Trackslistan hit as well.
