Gammel Dok is a former warehouse located on the waterfront of the Inner Harbour in the Christianshavn neighbourhood of Copenhagen, Denmark. It now houses the National Workshops for Art.
Gammel Dok takes its name from Gammel Dok (en. Old Dock), Denmark's first dry dock which was located at the site from 1739 until 1919. It was built for De Forenede Oplagspladser og Værfter i Kjøbenhavn in 1882 to the design of the architect H. C. Scharling and extended with an extra floor around 1920.
The building was acquired by the Danish state in 1979. It was restored and adapted for use as an exhibition space by Erik Møller Architects ( Jens Fredslund) in 1985. [1]
Until 2018 Gammel Dok housed the Danish Architecture Centre in the part of the building which faces the water. The other end of the building, towards Strandgade, houses the National Workshops for Art (da. Statens Værksteder for Kunst).
Gammeltorv is the oldest square in Copenhagen, Denmark. With adjoining Nytorv it forms a common space along the Strøget pedestrian zone. While the square dates back to the foundation of the city in the 12th century, most of its buildings were constructed after the Great Fire of 1795 in Neoclassical style. Another dominating feature is the Caritas Well, a Renaissance fountain erected by King Christian IV in 1610.

The David Collection is a museum of fine and applied art in Copenhagen, Denmark, built around the private collections of lawyer, businessman and art collector C. L. David. The building at Kronprinsessegade 30 which houses the museum used to be the private home of the founder and was originally bought in 1810 by his great-grandfather, C. N. David, but sold again in 1830. In 1917 it was re-acquired by C. L. David, who took up residence in it but also made his collection available to the public at the upper floors of the building. Admission is free.

Frederiksholms Kanal is a canal in central Copenhagen, Denmark, which runs along the south-west side of Slotsholmen, together with Slotsholmskanalen separating the island from Zealand. The name also applies to the continuation of Rådhusstræde which follows the canal for most of its course, first on its south side and for the last stretch, from Prinsens Bro and to the waterfront, on both sides of the canal. Gammel Kongevej is the principal shopping street of Frederiksberg in Copenhagen, Denmark. Running roughly parallel to Frederiksberg Allé and Vesterbrogade, it extends from Vesterport station at the southern end of The Lakes and continues for some 1.8 km west to Frederiksberg City Hall Square where it continues as Smallegade. In the opposite end, Jernbanegade connects it to Copenhagen City Hall Square.

The main building from 1802–03 was designed by the Hamburg-based French architectJoseph-Jacques Ramée. who also designed the still existing country houses Sophienholm, Øregård and Frederikslund. The building was demolished in the 1950s and Gammel Hellrup Gymnasium is now located on the site.
