Hudson County is a densely populated county in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It lies west of the lower Hudson River, which was named for Henry Hudson, the sea captain who explored the area in 1609. Part of New Jersey's Gateway Region in the New York metropolitan area, the county's county seat and largest city is Jersey City, whose population as of the 2020 U.S. Census was 292,449.
The Hereford Inlet Light is a historic lighthouse located in North Wildwood in Cape May County, New Jersey, United States, situated on the southwestern shore of Hereford Inlet at the north end of Five Mile Beach. Its construction was completed and it became operational in 1874.
The Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal, also known as Communipaw Terminal and Jersey City Terminal, was the Central Railroad of New Jersey's waterfront passenger terminal in Jersey City, New Jersey. The terminal was built in 1889, replacing an earlier one that had been in use since 1864. It operated until April 30, 1967.
Great Beds Light is a sparkplug lighthouse in Raritan Bay, about 1 mile (1.6 km) from South Amboy of Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. Over the years the lighthouse has become the symbol for the city of South Amboy. Named as Great Beds Light Station, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 2008, for its significance in architecture, engineering, transportation, and maritime history.
The Robbins Reef Light Station is a sparkplug lighthouse located off Constable Hook in Bayonne, Hudson County, New Jersey, United States, along the west side of Main Channel, Upper New York Bay. The tower and integral keepers quarters were built in 1883. It replaced an octagonal granite tower built in 1839. The U.S. Coast Guard owned and operated the light station until the 2000s.

The station building and Hoboken Terminal-bound platform is located near a traffic circle at the junction of Park Avenue, Union Avenue, Erie Avenue and Orient Way known as Station Square, with a grade crossing on Park Avenue. The tracks serve as the border between the two municipalities and the Suffern-bound platform and a small parking lot on the same side are actually located in East Rutherford; only the Hoboken-bound platform and a larger commuter lot are located on the Rutherford side.

The Hook and Ladder House No. 5 is the second oldest surviving fire station in Detroit, was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1975 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.
Harsimus is a neighborhood within Downtown Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. The neighborhood stretches from the Harsimus Stem Embankment on the north to Christopher Columbus Drive on the south between Coles Street and Grove Street or more broadly, to Marin Boulevard. It borders the neighborhoods of Hamilton Park to the north, Van Vorst Park to the south, the Village to the west, and the Powerhouse Arts District to the east. Newark Avenue has traditionally been its main street. The name is from the Lenape, used by the Hackensack Indians who inhabited the region and could be translated as Crow’s Marsh. From many years, the neighborhood was part of the "Horseshoe", a political delineation created by its position between the converging rail lines and political gerrymandering.
Van Vorst Park is a neighborhood in the Historic Downtown of Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, United States, centered on a park sharing the same name. The neighborhood is located west of Paulus Hook and Marin Boulevard, north of Grand Street, east of the Turnpike Extension, and south of The Village and Christopher Columbus Drive. Much of it is included in the Van Vorst Park Historical District.

The original part of the two story, frame structure was built about 1830 as a Federal style dwelling and later expanded and converted to a fire station in 1891 or 1892. It features a prominent hose drying / bell tower. It ceased being used as a fire station in 1926.
Bayonne Truck House No. 1, also known as Chief John T. Brennan Fire Museum, is located in Bayonne, Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. The firehouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 2, 1976. The firehouse was constructed in 1875 to be used by Bayonne Hook and Ladder Company #1. The firehouse is now a museum known as the John T. Brennan Fire Museum.
The Firemen's Monument is a 28 ft 0 in (8.53 m) tall monument in Hoboken, Hudson County, New Jersey, United States, that was designed by American sculptor Caspar Buberl and completed in 1891. The monument was built to commemorate the Volunteer Fire Department in Church Square Park on May 30, 1891.
Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company, Fire Station No. 1 is a historic fire station located at Newark in New Castle County, Delaware, USA. It was built in 1890 and is a two-story, rectangular common brick building. It has two main bays on the east gable end facade. It served as the city's sole fire fighting facility until the 1920s. The station currently houses 2 ambulances to complement the fire fighting apparatus located at the station across the street.
Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Company, Fire Station No. 2 is a historic fire station located at Newark in New Castle County, Delaware. It was built in 1922 and is a two-story ashlar structure with secondary wings on three sides. It features a gable roof with frame cupola.
The Hook and Ladder No. 1 and Hose Co. No. 2 is a property in Grand Forks, North Dakota that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. It is locally significant as one of two fire stations built by the city in 1907. The other, at time of NRHP nomination, was condemned.

The W.H. Bradford Hook and Ladder Fire House is a historic fire station at 212 Stafford Street in Bennington, Vermont. Built in 1893-94, it served for over a century as a fire house for the city, and survived modernizations with much of its historic fabric intact. It has been converted into artist studios and living space. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
