Les Valls de Valira is a municipality in the comarca of the Alt Urgell in Catalonia, that surrounds the south and south-west border of Andorra. It includes a small exclave to the south-east.

Ribes de Freser is a municipality in the comarca of the Ripollès in Girona, Catalonia. It is situated at the confluence of the Freser, Rigard and Segadell rivers, 14 km (8.7 mi) north of Ripoll. It is known for its mineral water, paper manufacture and milk products, and is also an important tourist centre. A rack railway runs from the town to Queralbs and to the shrine of Núria, through the Vall de Núria. The town is on the communication route from Barcelona to Puigcerdà.
Queralbs is a municipality in the comarca of the Ripollès in the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the Pyrenees to the north of Ribes de Freser, near the peaks of Puigmal (2909 m), Infern (2896 m) and Noufonts (2864 m). Tourism and hydroelectricity are the bases of the local economy. The Virgin of Nuria shrine is situated in the municipality, to the north of the village in Vall de Núria: it houses a romanesque mural image of la Mare de Déu de Núria. The shrine is reached by Vall de Núria Rack Railway from Ribes de Freser, which also serves the village. There is also a local road to Ribes de Freser, which serves the ski resort.

Torà is a town and municipality in the North East of the comarca (county) of Segarra, in the province of Lleida, Catalonia, Spain. The urban structure of the center has retained most of its original design, with narrow, twisting streets and blocks formed by rows of attached buildings. The Medieval town grew around a castle or fortified place. A particular trait of the fortified origin of the town is the presence of a number of portals to allow several streets their pass through defensive barriers formed by the rows of buildings of the town and its walls. Torà is some 10 kilometers northeast from the more populated Guissona, a neighbor town that has experienced an important economic development in the last half century parallel to an unprecedented demographic growth sped up in the recent years.

The municipality is part of the Zona Volcànica de la Garrotxa Natural Park and the Alta Garrotxa Consortium.
