The Berlin tramway is the main tram system in Berlin, Germany. It is one of the oldest tram networks in the world having its origins in 1865 and is operated by Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), which was founded in 1929. It is notable for being the third-largest tram system in the world, after Melbourne and St. Petersburg. Berlin's tram system is made up of 22 lines that operate across a standard gauge network, with almost 800 stops and measuring almost 190 kilometres (120 mi) in route length and 430 kilometres (270 mi) in line length. Nine of the lines, called Metrotram, operate 24 hours a day and are identified with the letter "M" before their number; the other thirteen lines are regular city tram lines and are identified by just a line number.

Scharnweberstraße is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U6. It was constructed by B. Grimmek in 1958. Due to the extension of the U6, the trains had to go above ground after Kurt-Schumacher-Platz station. Soil for the embankment on which the line is built came from excavations for the U9, which was being built in parallel. As the trains had to go above ground, Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG), who operate the Berlin U-Bahn, had to install windscreen wipers on the trains.

Afrikanische Straße is a station in the Wedding district of Berlin which serves the U6 line and is operated by the BVG. The station is located under the Müllerstraße, one of the district's major shopping streets and thoroughfares, but named for another major street nearby. The BVG uses the station under the internal abbreviation Afr; the train station is 631 meters from the Kurt-Schumacher-Platz U-Bahn Station and 587 meters from the Rehberge U-Bahn Station.

Britz-Süd is a Berlin U-Bahn station located on the U7. It was opened in 1963 and constructed by W.Düttmann. Characteristics are the grey tiles on the walls. Until 2003 this station only had a southern entrance. In 2003 the northern entrance was opened due to BVG safety policies. The station is only 3,5m below the street. The next station is Johannisthaler Chaussee.

The station's name comes from Hermann Boddin, mayor of the community from 1874 to 1907 and later the mayor of Rixdorf, today's district of Neukölln.

Bus transport is the oldest public transport service in Berlin, the capital city of Germany, having been introduced in 1846. Since 1929, services have been operated by the Berlin Transport Company, although during the Cold War-era division of the city they operated in West Berlin only. BVG's fleet consists of 1,550 vehicles, which cover 300,000 kilometres per day.
