Nagavara Ramarao Narayana Murthy is an Indian billionaire businessman. He is one of the seven co-founders of Infosys, and has previously served as the chairman, chief executive officer (CEO), president, and chief mentor of the company before retiring and taking the title chairman emeritus. As of April 2023, his net worth was estimated to be $4.1 billion, making him the 711th richest person in the world according to Forbes.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad</span> Business school in India

Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, is an Indian business school, located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. As one of India's premier Indian Institutes of Management, the school has been accorded the status of an Institute of National Importance by the Ministry of Human Resources, Government of India in 2017. It is widely regarded as the leading business school in India and one of the most prestigious business schools in the world.

Delhi School of Economics (DSE), popularly referred to as D School, is an institution of higher learning within the University of Delhi. The Delhi School of Economics is situated in University of Delhi's North Campus in Maurice Nagar. Established in 1949, the campus of the Delhi School of Economics houses the University of Delhi's departments of Economics, Sociology, Geography and Commerce, as well as the Ratan Tata Library. Out of the four academic departments, the Departments of Economics, Sociology and Geography come under the Faculty of Social Sciences, while the Department of Commerce comes under the Faculty of Commerce and Business Studies.

St. Columba's School in Delhi, India, was established in 1941 by the Indian Province of the Irish Christian Brothers, which was founded by Edmund Ignatius Rice. It is named after an Irish saint. The school's campus is located in the heart of Delhi and extends over 7 acres.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">K. V. Kamath</span> Indian Banker

Kundapur Vaman Kamath is the current Independent Director and Non-Executive Chairman of Jio Financial Services and the former chief of the New Development Bank of BRICS countries, previously he has also served as the Chairman of Infosys Limited, the second-largest Indian IT services company, and as the Non-Executive Chairman of ICICI Bank. Kamath also served as ICICI Bank's founder and Managing Director and CEO from 1 May 1996 until his retirement from executive responsibilities on 30 April 2009.

Professor S. P. Kothari is an Indian-American academic and the Gordon Y. Billard Professor of Accounting and Finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management and a Padma Shree awardee. His field of research is strategic and policy issues, securities regulation, auditing, and corporate governance.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">I. G. Patel</span> Indian banker

Indraprasad Gordhanbhai Patel, popularly known as I. G. Patel, was an Indian economist and a civil servant who served as the fourteenth Governor of the Reserve Bank of India from 1 December 1977 to 15 September 1982.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">V. Krishnamurthy</span> Indian civil servant (1925–2022)

Venkataraman Krishnamurthy was an Indian civil servant. V. Krishnamurthy is known as the "Father of Public sector undertakings in India" for his leadership and successful contribution in turning around Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Maruti Udyog Limited (MUL), Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), and GAIL (India) Limited (GAIL) into the most profit making industry in India and globally. He was chairman and CEO of BHEL, MUL, SAIL, and GAIL. He was Chairman of IIM Bangalore and Ahmedabad; IIT Delhi; Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar; and the Centre for Organization Development, Hyderabad. He has also been Chairman of the Technology Information, Forecasting & Assessment Council. He was Member of the National Advisory Council from 2004 to 2008. Among other positions, he has served as Member, Planning Commission and Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Industry. He was the Chairman of the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council, holding the rank of a Cabinet Minister up to 2014. He was one of the founding trustees of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation headed by Sonia Gandhi with Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi and other distinguished members as its trustees. He began working with the then Madras Electricity Board in 1944. Later he had the privilege of working directly with India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru at the Planning Commission from 1954 in the Second Five Year plan incharge of power projects and then with former Prime Ministers Lal Bahadur Sastri, Indira Gandhi, Morarji Desai, Rajiv Gandhi and Manmohan Singh in various positions in the Government of India.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Anil Kumar Gupta</span>

Anil Kumar Gupta is an Indian scholar in the area of grassroots innovations. He is the founder of the Honey Bee Network. He retired as a full-time professor at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in 2017, where he served for about 36 years.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">C. Rangarajan</span> Indian politician and economist

Chakravarthi Rangarajan is an Indian economist, a former Member of Parliament and 19th governor of the Reserve Bank of India. He is the former chairman of the Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council; he resigned the day the UPA lost power. He is also the Chairman of the Madras School of Economics; former president of the Indian Statistical Institute; the founding chairman of the CR Rao Advanced Institute of Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science; former chancellor of the University of Hyderabad; and a professor in Ahmedabad University.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">MYRA School of Business</span> Business school in Mysore, India

The MYRA School of Business is a business school established in 2012 in Mysore under the aegis of the Mysore Royal Academy (MYRA). The school and its campus was inaugurated on November 4, 2012.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Viswanathan Raghunathan</span> Indian academic (born 1954)

Viswanathan Raghunathan is an academic, businessman, author, and columnist. He is currently director of the Schulich School of Business, India. Since 2013, for three consecutive years, Raghunathan has been featured in the list of top 50 thinkers in management across India and the Indian diaspora. Since 2005, he is also the CEO of GMR Varalakshmi Foundation. Earlier he was president, ING Vysya Bank (2001–2004) and managing director, GMR Industries Ltd (2007–2008), GMR Group. He has been an adjunct professor at the Bocconi University, Milan, Italy, since 1990, and Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto, Canada. He taught finance and accounting at IIM, Ahmedabad from 1982 to 2001, where he held various positions, including chair, of the postgraduate program.

N. Srinivasa Iyer Ramaswamy (1926–2012), popularly known as Cartman Ramaswamy, was an Indian engineer, educationist, management academic and writer, and the founder director of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. He was the founder of Centre for Action, Research and Technology for Man, Animal and Nature (CARTMAN), a non governmental organization working for region-relevant and appropriate technology transfer to rural areas and Indian Heritage Academy, an organization involved in propagating Indian cultural traditions. He was also the founder chairman of the Adarsh Vidya Kendra (AVK) Group of educational institutions. The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 2006, for his contributions to society.

Srikant Datar is an Indian-American economist and the Dean of Harvard Business School. At Harvard, he concurrently serves as the Arthur Lowes Dickinson Professor of Business Administration.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Shri Ram College of Commerce</span> Undergraduate college for commerce and economics

Shri Ram College of Commerce or SRCC is an Indian Higher Education Institution in the fields of commerce, economics and business management. A constituent college of the University of Delhi, It was founded in 1926 by philanthropist and industrialist Sir Shri Ram.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Pritam Singh (educationist)</span> Indian educationist (1941–2020)

Pritam Singh was an Indian academic, educationist, advisor and management professor. In 2003, Singh was awarded Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award by the Government of India.
