The Malaysia Athletics Federation (Malay : Kesatuan Olahraga Malaysia) is the governing body for the sport of athletics in Malaysia, is a member of the World Athletics. The MAF main headquarters is located at Wisma OCM, Jalan Hang Jebat. Formerly known as Malaysia Amateur Athletic Union (MAAU).

Shahidan bin Kassim is a Malaysian politician who has served as Minister of Federal Territories in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob since August 2021, Chairman of the Perbadanan Perumahan Rakyat 1Malaysia (PR1MA) and Chairman of the National Housing Corporation (NHC) since March 2021. He served as the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Najib Razak from May 2013 to May 2018, Menteri Besar of Perlis from May 1995 to March 2008 and Member of the Perlis State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Tambun Tulang from April 1995 to May 2013. He has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Arau since May 2013 and from August 1986 to April 1995. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the ruling BN coalition which is aligned with the ruling Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. He served as the Chairman of the PN Backbenchers Club from May 2020 to August 2021.

SM Sultan Abdul Halim School in Jenan, Kedah, Malaysia

Sekolah Menengah Sultan Abdul Halim is a premier boarding school, located in Jitra, Kubang Pasu, Kedah.Established in 1963 under Razak Report, it is the first boarding school in Kedah. The school is nickname as Jenan. In 2010,the school was awarded with the Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi or High Performance School title, a title awarded to the 20 schools in Malaysia that have met stringent criteria including academic achievement, strength of alumni, international recognition, network and linkages. The school is specialised in rugby and wind orchestra. The school obtained first place among all schools in Kedah in the recent Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia 2016 with 25 students obtaining straight A's.

Supanara Sukhasvasti na Ayudhya is a Thai long jumper. By winning the gold in the long jump at the 2009 World Youth Championships in Athletics, he became Thailand's first ever finalist, medallist and champion in an athletics global event of any age category. He is also the Thai record holder in the long jump.

Athletics at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games

The athletics competition at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games was held from 12 to 16 November at the Jakabaring Stadium in Palembang, Indonesia. Over the five-day competition a total of 46 events were contested with 23 contests for each gender, matching the Olympic athletics program minus the men's 50 km race walk. Six SEA Games records were broken and twenty national records were surpassed.

Tan Song Hwa is a Malaysian athlete who specialises in hammer throw. Her personal best is 58.71m, achieved on 15 June 2011 at Szombathely, Hungary. Tan won the women's hammer throw gold medal at the 2009 Southeast Asian Games.
