Pomona State Park, previously called Vassar State Park, is located on the south shore of Pomona Lake, northeast of the community of Vassar in Osage County, Kansas, United States. In addition to a dozen different campgrounds with some 350 modern and primitive campsites and a full-service marina, the park offers facilities for swimming, hiking, and picnicking. It is accessed by K-368, between Vassar, Kansas and nearby Overbrook, Kansas.

Located at the reservoir's eastern end, the state park covers 945 acres (382 ha) divided into two areas by the reservoir's southeastern arm: the Hell Creek area on the west side and the Otoe area on the east side. The Hell Creek area hosts a marina. Both areas include hiking trails, swimming beaches, boat ramps, and camping facilities.

Lake Scott State Park State park in Kansas, United States

Lake Scott State Park is a 1,280-acre (520 ha) Kansas state park in Scott County, Kansas in the United States. The park was established in 1928 following a donation of the land by the Herbert Steele family. The park, also known as Scott State Park, surrounds Lake Scott, a spring-fed freshwater lake. Lake Scott State Park is between Oakley and Scott City, about one mile west of U.S. Route 83 on Route K-95. The park is open for year-round recreation including camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, boating and picnicking. Lake Scott State Park is home to the only known Indian pueblo in Kansas, El Cuartelejo.

Roscoe Hall Wilmeth was an American archaeologist who was born in St. Marys, Pennsylvania. His research was focused on the protohistoric and historic period cultures in the Southwest and Great Plains regions of the United States, and the province of British Columbia in Canada. Wilmeth's major areas of expertise included Pueblo, Navajo, Kansa, Pawnee, Athabaskan and Chilcotin cultures. Wilmeth played a major role in the creation of the state archaeologist position in Kansas, was the first to occupy this position, and later went on to become a major contributor to Canadian archaeology as an archaeologist for the Canadian Museum of Civilization, formerly known as the National Museum of Man and which includes the Archaeological Survey of Canada.

Meade State Park is a state park southwest of the city of Meade in Meade County, Kansas, United States. The park features an 80-acre (32 ha) lake that contains Bluegill, Channel Cat & Flathead Catfish, Trout, Saugeye, Crappie, and Largemouth Bass. Fishing is allowed in the lake year-round with motorized boating restricted to fishing only and no wake speed. In addition the park encompasses a 440-acre (180 ha) campsite and wildlife area. This can be enjoyed via hiking trails located within the park.

Webster State Park is a state park of Kansas, United States. It is located west of the city of Stockton in Rooks County. The park offers camping as well as boating on Webster Reservoir.

K-268 (Kansas highway)

K-268 is a 9.490-mile-long (15.273 km) east–west state highway in the U.S. state of Kansas. K-268's western terminus is at U.S. Route 75 (US-75) and K-31 north of Lyndon, and the eastern terminus is at K-68 north of Quenemo. There are no cities or towns along the highway, but it is a part of a direct link for traffic between Osage City and Ottawa. K-268 travels mostly through rural farmlands and is a two-lane road its entire length.
