Pratheeksha is a special school located at Mampetta, a hamlet in between Mukkam and Kettangal villages of Kozhikode, Kerala. The school has an enrollment of 52 children with intellectual disabilities and hearing impairments.

Special education is separate from a 504 plan, as a 504 plan provides accommodations and services which allow students with disabilities to gain access to public education, but who do not require specialized academic instruction. Students with disabilities or special needs who require specialized academic instruction from a special educator must have an Individualized Education Program IEP developed. Some students with an IEP go into a special education classroom, and some students with an IEP can participate in general education classes with accommodations, modifications, and/or push-in/pull-out services.
NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad is the fourth engineering educational institution established in Kerala, India. It was founded in 1960 by Nair Service Society. NSS College of Engineering is one of the premier institutions in the state. Kudiyirikkal Narayanan Ezhuthachan, commonly known as Dr.K.N.Ezhuthachan was an Indian writer and scholar of Malayalam literature. He was one among the principal followers of the idea of social impact on literature. Ezhuthachan supported Marxist literary criticism and interpreted Indian literary works based on Marxist aesthetics. He won the Sahitya Akademi Award for his work Keralodayam, a long narrative poem written in Sanskrit. He is the first Malayali to win Sahitya Akademi Award in sanskrit literature. He died on 28 October 1981 while delivering a lecture at Calicut University.
