The FIM Supermoto of Nations, is an annual supermoto event since 2006 organized by the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM). [1] The championship has been won by France eleven times. [2]

Supermoto was originally conceived by Gavin Trippe in 1979 as a segment of the TV show Wide World of Sports. It was something like an all-star game, in which the best riders from the three separate genres of motorcycle racing could temporarily leave their normal race class to come together and compete for the title of best all around racer. Today supermoto is a distinct genre of its own and riders in the other classes do not routinely cross over into supermoto.

The 2022 Speedway of Nations was the fifth FIM Speedway of Nations. The competition consisted of two semi-finals and a final. Great Britain were the defending champions having won the 2021 competition.

The FIM S1GP Supermoto World Championship is the premier competition organized by FIM on the sport of supermoto racing. It takes place every year as a calendar competition on different locations across the world and it was first contested in 2002. The competition has only one class (S1) nowadays but there used to be a second class (S2) world championship that was contested between 2004-2009 and then it was dropped. The most successful rider in history in frenchman Thomas Charayre with 8 titles.
