World Field Archery Championships

The World Field Archery Championships is an international competition in field archery. Organised by World Archery, the Championships are held every two years, in host cities most frequently in Europe but occasionally in Australasia or North America.

Mahtab Parsamehr (Persian: مهتاب پارسامهر, born February 20, 1989, in Iran, Tehran. She started Archery when she was 18 years old. After 1 year she got her first medal in Iran national Indoor championship and she invited to the Iran Archery National Team. She got 2 Medals in her first international competitions. She is the current World Archery number seven in women's compound archery. The highest ranking she has reached is the third position, which she reached for the last time in April 2012.

The 2009 World Archery Championships was the 45th edition of the event. It was held at the Ulsan Munsu International Archery Field in Ulsan, South Korea on 1–9 September 2009 and were organized by the World Archery Federation (FITA).

The World Archery Rankings is a ranking system developed by the World Archery Federation for international competitive archery. It is calculated using a points system and published following major World Archery tournaments.

Germany competed at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 7 September to 18 September 2016. The first places the team qualified were for four athletes in sailing events. They also qualified athletes in archery, cycling, equestrian, paracanoeing, paratriathlon, rowing and wheelchair basketball.

The World Indoor Archery Championships, an international competition in archery, have been held in alternate years since 1991, each time in a different host city. There are events in adult and junior categories using the recurve and compound bows.

Archery at the 2016 Summer Paralympics was held between 10 and 17 September 2016 at the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí in the Maracana zone of Rio de Janeiro, and consisted of nine events. The make up of those events changed substantially from the 2012 games, and consisted of three men's events, three women's events and three events for mixed gender teams. Men, women and mixed teams each competed in two events for compound bow, one for wheelchair athletes, the other open, and an open event for recurve bow, the bow used for all Olympic events.

Great Britain competed in the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo, Japan. Originally scheduled to take place between 21 August and 6 September 2020, the Games were postponed to 24 August to 5 September 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. British athletes have competed at sixteen consecutive Summer Paralympics since 1960.

Since the nation's debut in 1964, Mongolian athletes have appeared in every edition of the Summer Olympic Games, with the exception of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, because of its support of the Soviet boycott.
