Following his retirement, De Ketele became a directeur sportif with Sport Vlaanderen–Baloise.

Denis Sergeyevich Dmitriev is a Russian track cyclist. Specialising in the sprint events, Dmitriev's best result in international sports was winning a gold medal at the 2017 World Championships in Hong Kong. At the 2016 Summer Olympics he succeeded to the bronze medal race in sprint, winning the medal. Dmitriev is a four-time European Champion at senior level in the Sprint event for men, and the most successful sprint cyclist in the competitions's history.

The 1964 UCI Track Cycling World Championships were the World Championship for track cycling. They took place in Paris, France from 8 to 13 September 1964. Nine events were contested, 7 for men and 2 for women.
The 1900 UCI Track Cycling World Championships were the World Championship for track cycling. They took place in Paris, France from 12 to 18 August 1900. Four events for men were contested, two for professionals and two for amateurs. Apart from the four events a tandem event was organized. This race has never been officially recognized. The Dutch duo Harrie Meyers-Fernando Tomaselli won ahead of the French duo Edmond Jacquelin-Lucien Louvet and the French-American duo Charles Vanoni-Robert Protin. Because the race was not official the medalists are not listed in the list of Tandem World Champions.
Anastasia Sergeyevna Voynova is a Russian professional track cyclist. She won the bronze medal in the 500 m time trial event at the 2014 UCI Track Cycling World Championships. At the 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships, she won a silver medal in the team sprint and a gold in the 500 m time trial. At the 2015 UEC European Track Championships, Voinova broke the 500 m time trial world record in 32.794 seconds.
