The Central Defence Academy (Spanish : Academia Central de la Defenda, ACD) is a military training center of the Common Corps of the Spanish Armed Forces located in the city of Carabanchel, Madrid. The center is responsible for providing specialization training to officers and non-commissioned officers in the Spanish Armed Forces and its service branches. The ACD consists of affiliate schools which specialize in areas of speciality in the Spanish Army (such as Legal, Audit, Health and Military Music) It was created in response to the provisions of the Royal Decree of King Felipe VI on 20 June 2014. It is regulated by the Order of the Ministry of Defense (MINISDEF) on 9 September 2015. [1] The ACD reports directly to the General Directorate of Recruitment and Military Education of the Ministry of Defense. The director of the academy is an officer with the rank of general officer who also serves as the assistant director general of the Military Education Service [2]

The Philippine Military Academy is the premier military academy for Filipinos aspiring for a commission as a military officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP). It was established on December 21, 1936 by the virtue of National Defense Act of 1935. It is patterned after the United States Military Academy. The Academy is located in the city of Baguio. It is the training school for future officers of the AFP.

The Common Corps of the Armed Forces are Spanish military corps that are shared by all the branches of the Spanish Armed Forces providing specific professional expertise. The Common Corps are four; the Military Legal Corps, the Military Comptroller Corps, the Military Health Corps and the Military Bands Corps. Currently, 3,998 Officers and NCOs make up the Common Corps. The educational centres of the Common Corps are part of the Central Defence Academy.

Máximo Gómez Command Academy is a military institution of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces. The academy, which is located to the east of Havana, is the principal senior service school for the training of soldiers in the FAR. It currently bears the name of Major General Máximo Gómez, who was a 19th century Cuban independence fighter. It was founded in 1963 and is under the orbit of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR), whose employees are trained by the school. The command academy has been decorated with many military and state awards such as the Order of Antonio Maceo and the Order of Carlos J. Finlay.
