Julius Sello Malema is a South African politician who is a Member of Parliament and the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF),a far-left party which he founded in 2013. He was formerly the President of the African National Congress (ANC) Youth League from 2008 until his expulsion from the party in 2012.

Cassel Mathale is a South African politician who was the third Premier of Limpopo between March 2009 and July 2013. He is currently the Deputy Minister of Police in the South African government and before that was Deputy Minister of Small Business Development from February 2018 to May 2019.
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) is a South African far-left pan-Africanist and Marxist–Leninist political party. It was founded by expelled former African National Congress Youth League (ANCYL) President Julius Malema,and his allies,in 2013. Malema is President of the EFF,heading the Central Command Team which serves as the central structure of the party. It is currently the third-largest party in both houses of the South African Parliament.

Shivambu is also a Member of the Pan African Parliament,serving in the Rural Economy,Agriculture,Natural Resources and Environment Committee.
Rhodes Must Fall was a protest movement that began on 9 March 2015,originally directed against a statue at the University of Cape Town (UCT) that commemorates Cecil Rhodes. The campaign for the statue's removal received global attention and led to a wider movement to "decolonise" education across South Africa. On 9 April 2015,following a UCT Council vote the previous night,the statue was removed.
#FeesMustFall was a student-led protest movement that began in mid-October 2015 in South Africa. The goals of the movement were to stop increases in student fees as well as to increase government funding of universities. Protests started at the University of Witwatersrand and spread to the University of Cape Town and Rhodes University before rapidly spreading to other universities across the country. Although initially enjoying significant public support the protest movement started to lose public sympathy when the protests started turning violent.
Mbuyiseni Quintin Ndlozi MP is a South African politician and political activist. He has been a Member of the National Assembly,representing the Economic Freedom Fighters,since 2014. He also served as the first official spokesperson for the party until his resignation in 2020. He was replaced as party spokesperson by fellow member of the Economic Freedom Fighters,youth activist Vuyani Pambo.

Naledi Nokukhanya Chirwa is a South African feminist,legislator and former student activist serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa. A member of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF),she was sworn in as an MP on 22 May 2019. She is one of the youngest MPs of the 6th Parliament. Chirwa was involved in the #FeesMustFall student protests that occurred at the University of Pretoria between 2015 and 2016.
Piaba Madokwe is a South African politician who served as Member of the National Assembly for the Economic Freedom Fighters from October 2020 until August 2023. Madokwe had previously served as the secretary-general of the EFF Student Command.
Delisile Blessing Ngwenya is a South African politician who has been one of the two national spokespeople of the Economic Freedom Fighters since 2020. She was a member of the National Assembly from 2019 to 2021. From 2016 to 2019,Ngwenya was a permanent delegate to the National Council of Provinces.
Nompendulo Thobile Mkhatshwa is a South African politician,former student leader and former #FeesMustFall activist currently serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the African National Congress (ANC).
Ncediso Goodenough "Zizi" Kodwa is a South African politician and communications strategist who is currently serving as the Minister of Sports,Arts and Culture since March 2023. Before that,he was the Deputy Minister of State Security from 2019 to 2023. He was formerly the national spokesperson of the African National Congress (ANC) from 2014 to 2018.
Michael Collen Sedibe is a South African politician who is currently a Member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature and the provincial leader of the legislature's official opposition party,the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). He joined the EFF in 2013 after he was expelled from the African National Congress and he was first elected to the provincial legislature in the 2014 general election. In September 2022,he was elected to a third term as the EFF's Provincial Chairperson in Mpumalanga.
Leswafo Joshua Matlou is a South African politician who has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the Limpopo Provincial Legislature since 2019. He was formerly the Mayor of Mopani District Municipality from 2009 until 2014,when the ANC asked him to resign. He also served as the chairperson of the ANC's influential Mopani branch from 2009 to 2013 and before that was the Provincial Chairperson of the ANC Youth League in Limpopo.
Zilindile Vena is a South African politician who has been a member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature since 2023. He is the provincial chairperson of the Economic Freedom Fighters.
