Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival

The 11th Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival took place from 28 November to 3 December 2016 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. [1] A total of 138 films from 27 countries were screened during the festival. [2] The festival opened with Pritagita Arianegara's feature directorial debut Salawaku and closed with Nurlan Abdykadyrov's Travelling with the Bomb. [3]

The festival's most prestigious award, Golden Hanoman Award, was presented to drama film Solo, Solitude by Yosep Anggi Noen. [4]

She began her acting career as a theatre actress in 2005, but rose to prominence in 2008 as a TV news reporter and later anchor for Metro TV. The Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF) is an annual film festival held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The festival has partnered with the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) since its inaugural edition in 2006. It aims to introduce Asian cinema to a wider audience and provides a space for arts, culture, and tourism.

The 17th annual Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held from 26 November to 3 December 2022. Indonesian anthology film Piknik Pesona was selected to open the festival. Japanese drama film Plan 75 was the closing film of the festival.

The 18th annual Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held on 25 November to 2 December 2023 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The films were screened at the Empire XXI theatres and online through streaming service KlikFilm, meanwhile other fringe events were held at the LPP Yogyakarta.

The 16th Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held on 27 November to 4 December 2021 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The festival returned to be held offline at the Empire XXI, after a year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. The festival partnered with streaming service KlikFilm for online screenings.

The Draft! is a 2023 Indonesian science fiction horror film directed and written by Yusron Fuadi. The film stars Adhin Abdul Hakim, Anastasya Herzigova, Anggi Waluyo, Haydar Salishz, Winner Wijaya, and Ibrahim Alhami.

Yandy Laurens is an Indonesian filmmaker. In 2018, he made his feature directorial debut with Cemara's Family. In 2023, he directed his second feature film, Falling In Love Like In Movies, which won seven Citra Awards including Best Picture.

The 14th Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held on 19 to 23 November 2019 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A total of 107 films from 23 countries were screened during the festival. Black comedy fantasy film Abracadabra opened the festival and it closed with Bradley Liew's Hotel Acacia.

The 19th annual Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held from 30 November to 7 December 2024 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A total of 180 films from 25 Asia–Pacific countries were screened during the festival. The festival opened with Garin Nugroho's silent film Samsara and closed with the world premiere of Yandy Laurens' A Brother and 7 Siblings. This year marks the inaugural edition of JAFF Market, an initiative aimed at reshaping the Indonesian film industry by fostering networking and collaboration among various sectors.

The 13th Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held from 27 November to 4 December 2018 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A total of 137 films from 27 countries were screened during the festival. Drama film The Man from the Sea opened the festival and it closed with Sri Lankan anthology film Her. Him. The Other. The festival's most prestigious award was presented to drama film 27 Steps of May.

The 12th Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held from 1 to 8 December 2017 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A total of 114 films from 24 countries were screened during the festival. Garin Nugroho's Nyai opened the festival and it closed with Kirsten Tan's drama film Pop Aye. The year's edition included a new competition section called Indonesian Screen Awards which honored the achievement of Indonesian feature films.

<i>A Brother and 7 Siblings</i> 2024 drama film

A Brother and 7 Siblings is a 2024 drama film written and directed by Yandy Laurens, based on 1996 soap opera of the same name by Arswendo Atmowiloto. The film stars Chicco Kurniawan as a man who suddenly has to take care of his seven nieces and nephews after the death of his older siblings.
