Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival

The 12th Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held from 1 to 8 December 2017 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. [1] A total of 114 films from 24 countries were screened during the festival. [2] Garin Nugroho's Nyai opened the festival and it closed with Kirsten Tan's drama film Pop Aye . [3] The year's edition included a new competition section called Indonesian Screen Awards which honored the achievement of Indonesian feature films. [4]

The festival's most prestigious award, Golden Hanoman Award, was presented to drama film The Seen and Unseen by Kamila Andini. [5]

The Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival (JAFF) is an annual film festival held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The festival has partnered with the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC) since its inaugural edition in 2006. It aims to introduce Asian cinema to a wider audience and provides a space for arts, culture, and tourism.

The 17th annual Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held from 26 November to 3 December 2022. Indonesian anthology film Piknik Pesona was selected to open the festival. Japanese drama film Plan 75 was the closing film of the festival.

The 2022 Jakarta Film Week, the second edition of the film festival Jakarta Film Week, was held on 13 to 16 October 2022. The festival opened with Fajar Nugros' The Ballads of Roy, and closed with Sorayos Prapapan's film Arnold Is a Model Student.

The festival returned to be held offline at the Empire XXI, after a year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. The festival partnered with streaming service KlikFilm for online screenings.

Yandy Laurens is an Indonesian filmmaker. In 2018, he made his feature directorial debut with Cemara's Family. In 2023, he directed his second feature film, Falling In Love Like In Movies, which won seven Citra Awards including Best Picture.

The 14th Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held on 19 to 23 November 2019 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A total of 107 films from 23 countries were screened during the festival. Black comedy fantasy film Abracadabra opened the festival and it closed with Bradley Liew's Hotel Acacia.

The 19th annual Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held from 30 November to 7 December 2024 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A total of 180 films from 25 Asia–Pacific countries were screened during the festival. The festival opened with Garin Nugroho's silent film Samsara and closed with the world premiere of Yandy Laurens' A Brother and 7 Siblings. This year marks the inaugural edition of JAFF Market, an initiative aimed at reshaping the Indonesian film industry by fostering networking and collaboration among various sectors.

The 13th Jogja-NETPAC Asian Film Festival was held from 27 November to 4 December 2018 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. A total of 137 films from 27 countries were screened during the festival. Drama film The Man from the Sea opened the festival and it closed with Sri Lankan anthology film Her. Him. The Other. The festival's most prestigious award was presented to drama film 27 Steps of May.
