Charles Wood, 1st Viscount Halifax, GCB, PC, known as Sir Charles Wood, 3rd Bt, between 1846 and 1866, was an Anglo-Indian Whig politician and Member of Parliament of the British Empire. He served as Chancellor of the Exchequer from 1846 to 1852.

Clongowes Wood College is a voluntary boarding school for boys, located near Clane in County Kildare, Ireland. The school was founded by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1814, and featured prominently in James Joyce's semi-autobiographical novel A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. One of five Jesuit schools in Ireland, it had 450 students in 2019.
