William Henry Meredith was a Welsh professional footballer. He was considered one of the early superstars of football due to his performances, notably for Manchester City and Manchester United. He won each domestic trophy in the English football league and gained 48 caps for Wales, for whom he scored 11 goals and won two British Home Championship titles. His favoured position was outside right, and his key skills were dribbling, passing, crossing and shooting. A dedicated and extremely fit professional, his habit of chewing on a toothpick during games made him instantly recognisable.

George Turner Livingstone was a Scottish footballer. He played for several prominent clubs for a few years apiece, including Heart of Midlothian, Celtic and Rangers in Scotland, and Sunderland, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United in England. Livingstone was capped twice for the Scotland national team; his regular position was at inside forward.
Bertram Clewley Freeman was an English footballer. He played as a centre forward for clubs Woolwich Arsenal, Everton, Burnley and Wigan Borough. Freeman was one of the most prolific goal-scorers of his time, winning one First Division and two Second Division Golden Boots. He was also capped at the senior level for England.
Alexander McNair was a Scottish football player and manager. He played as a defender for Celtic for 21 years and represented the Scotland national team in 15 official internationals between 1906 and 1920. McNair also represented the Scottish League XI 15 times. He then managed Dundee from 1925 until 1927.
Ioan Haydn Price was a Welsh footballer who played at wing half or centre forward for various clubs in the period prior to World War I, before brief spells as a manager with Walsall and Grimsby Town.
David Hamilton was a Scottish footballer who played as an outside left (winger). He played for Celtic for ten years between 1902 and 1912.
