The 1902 Hawthorn Football Club season was the inaugural season of the Hawthorn Football Club. [1] The club was formed in March 1902 and was admitted into the Metropolitan Junior Football Association (MJFA) several weeks later. [2] [3]

Contents

Hawthorn's first-ever game was a four-point loss to St Ignatius in round 1. [4] The club's first win came in round 4, defeating Celtic by 18 points. [5] At the end of the season, Hawthorn finished sixth on the ladder with a 6−10 win-loss record. [6] [7]
