The Hawthorn Football Club is a professional Australian rules football club that competes in the Australian Football League (AFL).
This article lists all seasons dating back to Hawthorn's inaugural season in the Metropolitan Junior Football Association (MJFA, later MAFA), followed by the Victorian Football Association (VFA) and Victorian/Australian Football League (VFL/AFL).
Hawthorn has also had a women's team since 2018, currently competing in the AFL Women's (AFLW) and formerly in the VFL Women's (VFLW).

The Geelong Football Club, nicknamed the Cats, is a professional Australian rules football club based at Kardinia Park in South Geelong, Victoria, Australia. The club competes in the Australian Football League (AFL), the sport's premier competition. The club formed in 1859, making it the second-oldest AFL side after Melbourne and one of the oldest football clubs in the world.
Jessica Evelyn Duffin is an Australian sportswoman. In cricket, she has made 117 international appearances and won four world championships as a member of the Australian women's team. A right-handed batter with a reputation as a big game performer, Duffin was named Player of the Final in both the 2012 ICC Women's World Twenty20 and 2013 Women's Cricket World Cup tournaments. She also won the 2013 Belinda Clark Award for being adjudged Australia's best international women's cricketer over the previous year. Her domestic career has included playing for Victoria in the Women's National Cricket League and captaining the Melbourne Renegades in the Women's Big Bash League.
Herbert Vivian "Viv" Randall was an Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
VFL Women's (VFLW) is the major state-level women's Australian rules football league in Victoria. The league initially comprised the six premier division clubs and the top four division 1 clubs from the now-defunct Victorian Women's Football League (VWFL), and has since evolved into what is also the second primary competition for AFL Women's (AFLW) clubs in Victoria.
Matilda Lucas-Rodd is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Hawthorn Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). They previously played for the Carlton Football Club from 2017 to 2019 and the St Kilda Football Club from 2020 to 2022 (S6). They were the inaugural Hawthorn best and fairest winner, and they have served as Hawthorn captain since 2022 season 7.

Christina Bernardi is an Australian rules footballer who has played for Collingwood, Greater Western Sydney, Richmond and Carlton in the AFL Women's (AFLW). In 2018, she was Collingwood's leading goalkicker and was selected in the All-Australian team.
Georgia Gee is an Australian rules footballer playing for the Essendon Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). Gee was drafted by Carlton with their first selection and twelfth overall in the 2017 AFL Women's draft. She made her debut in the eight-point win against Collingwood at Ikon Park in the opening round of the 2018 season. In April 2022, it was confirmed Gee had committed to Essendon Football Club, commencing in AFL Women's season seven. Her grandfather, Brian Shinners, played VFL/AFL football with Richmond and Hawthorn in the 1960s and '70s.
Kristy Stratton is an Australian rules footballer who plays for Hawthorn in the AFL Women's (AFLW).
Jessica Trend is an Australian rules footballer who played for North Melbourne in the AFL Women's (AFLW) competition. She was also part of Fremantle's squad for a season, but was on the inactive list and didn't play. She also appeared as a contestant in the 2021 Big Brother Australia Season 13.
Mikala Cann is an Australian rules footballer playing for Collingwood Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW).
Jayde Van Dyk is an Australian rules footballer playing for St Kilda in the AFL Women's (AFLW). A defender who played with Hawthorn in the VFL Women's (VFLW), she was drafted by Carlton with the twenty-first selection in the 2018 AFLW draft. Van Dyk debuted in the opening round of the 2019 season and played in the 2019 AFL Women's Grand Final.
Tamara Luke is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the St Kilda Football Club and the Hawthorn Football Club in the AFL Women's (AFLW). She has played for Hawthorn's VFLW team. In March 2021, she was delisted by St Kilda. On 3 November 2023 she announced her retirement.
