A by-election was held in the New South Wales state electoral district of Murray on 22 September 1917. [1] The by-election was triggered by the death of Robert Scobie (Nationalist). [2]

United Counties of Murray and St Vincent was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales from 1856 to 1859.
