The 1931 Brisbane City Council election was held on 2 May 1931 to elect councillors for each of the 20 wards of the City of Brisbane. The election resulted in 8 seats for Labor, 7 seats for Civic Reform, 3 seats for non-party progressives and 2 seats for National Citizens. The new council elected John William Greene as Lord Mayor. Clover Margaret Moore is an Australian politician. She has been the Lord Mayor of the City of Sydney since 2004 and is currently the longest serving Lord Mayor of Sydney since the creation of the City of Sydney in 1842. She was an independent member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1988 to 2012, representing the electorates of Bligh (1988–2007) and Sydney (2007–2012). Her "recurrent motif" is described as "making Sydney more liveable for individuals and families". Moore is the first popularly elected female Lord Mayor of Sydney.
Campbell Kevin Thomas Newman is an Australian former politician who served as the 38th Premier of Queensland from 26 March 2012 to 14 February 2015.
