Yoshihiro Asai, better known by his ring name Último Dragón, is a Japanese professional wrestler and actor currently signed to Dragon Gate, where he acts as an in-ring talent, trainer and senior advisor. In addition to having trained in Japan, Asai learned to wrestle in the lucha libre style while working in Mexico. He is credited with popularizing the "Asai Moonsault".
José Ángel Nájera Sánchez was a Mexican luchador or professional wrestler best known under the ring name Fishman. Fishman was one of the top wrestlers in the mid-1970s and 1980s and worked for Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre, the Universal Wrestling Association, the World Wrestling Association and AAA in Mexico as well as frequent trips to Japan and the United States. Nájera was unmasked after losing a match in 2000 and retired shortly afterwards. Three of his sons are all luchadores enmascarados known by their ring names Black Fish, El Hijo del Fishman and El Único de Ciudad Juárez.
Arturo Díaz Mendoza was a Mexican professional wrestler who performed under the ring name Villano III. Díaz was a second-generation wrestler, son of luchador Ray Mendoza and the father of professional wrestlers Villano III Jr. and El Hijo del Villano III himself. All five of the Díaz brothers used the Villano name; José de Jesús, José Alfredo, Tomás and Raymundo. Of the five Villanos, Arturo was considered the most successful in terms of championship and Lucha de Apuesta wins as well as the most talented luchador in the family. He retired from wrestling in 2015 due to health issues stemming from wrestling. A few days after his death, he was inducted in the AAA Hall of Fame.
Jerry Estrada is a semi-retired Mexican luchador. For most of his career, he has portrayed a rudo character, nicknamed "El Puma". His rudo persona was pattered on various Glam Rock bands, complete with colorful spandex and what was described as a "rock and roll" attitude in the ring. He was originally active from 1978 until 2003 when he was forced to retire due to chronic injures caused by his signature bumps outside the ring. Estrada began working select matches again in 2018.
Tomás Díaz Mendoza is a Mexican professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Villano IV. Within the stable Los Villanos, he has wrestled for Universal Wrestling Association (UWA), AAA, and World Championship Wrestling (WCW). While popular and successful in Mexico, he frequently performed as a jobber in WCW. The other sons of Ray Mendoza who have used the name "Villano" include Villano I, Villano II, Villano III, and Villano V.
Raymundo Díaz Mendoza Jr. is a Mexican professional wrestler, who has performed under the name Villano V until he was unmasked on March 20, 2009, after which he became known as "Ray Mendoza Jr." after his father Ray Mendoza. Mendoza is part of a well-known Mexican wrestling family that includes four other Villanos, I, II, III and IV. Since making his debut in 1975 Mendoza has wrestled for every major Mexican wrestling federation including Universal Wrestling Association, AAA and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. He also worked for the United States-based World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as enhancement talent, usually appearing on secondary shows like WCW Saturday Night.
Carmelo Reyes González is a Mexican retired professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, Cien Caras. He is best known for his appearances with the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.
The Universal Wrestling Association (UWA) was a Mexican Lucha Libre or professional wrestling promotion based in Naucalpan, Mexico State that operated from 1975 until 1995. The name of the actual promotion was Lucha Libre Internacional (LLI) but outside of Mexico it is generally referred to as the UWA as it was the name of the fictional international sanctioning body that in storyline terms oversaw all championships promoted by the UWA. The company was founded by wrestler and trainer Ray Mendoza, promoter Francisco Flores and investor Benjamín Mora, Jr. as when they broke away from Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre to form their own promotion. The company had working agreements with wrestling promotions both in the United States and Japan as they worked with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, the World Wrestling Federation and Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling (JWP).
José Luis Rodríguez Arellano is a Mexican Luchador Enmascarado who wrestles under the ring name Dos Caras. His most active years were in the 1970s and 1980s, and he achieved his greatest success in Mexico's Universal Wrestling Alliance (UWA), where he won the UWA World Heavyweight Championship three times. He has been called "the greatest heavyweight ever to come out of Mexico". He is the creator of the Dos Caras Clutch, a hammerlock head scissors pinning combination.
Juan Conrado Aguilar Jáuregui, better known by his ring name El Texano, was a Mexican Luchador, or professional wrestler. From the early 1970s to the early 2000s, he wrestled under masked and unmasked monikers for various promotions including Universal Wrestling Association (UWA), World Wrestling Council (WWC), World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW), and World Championship Wrestling (WCW), Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA). His son Juan Aguilar Leos wrestles under the name El Texano, Jr. in tribute to his father and another son wrestles as the masked Super Nova.
Norberto Salgado Salcedo is a retired Mexican luchador, primarily known under the ring name Pierroth Jr. Salgado made his professional wrestling debut on July 1, 1984, working as a luchador enmascarado, or masked wrestler, using the name Pierroth Jr. He lost his mask as a result of losing a Lucha de Apuestas to La Parka in 1998. In the late 1990s Pierroth became known as Comandante Pierroth or simply Pierroth, leader of a faction of pro-Puerto Rican wrestlers in CMLL known as Los Boricuas, notwithstanding him being born in Mexico. After suffering a stroke in November 2008 Salgado retired from wrestling. Several other wrestlers have used the name Pierroth or derivatives thereof over the years, with approval from Salgado, currently Pierrothito is the only wrestler actively using the name.

Genaro Jacobo Contreras, better known by his ring name Ringo Mendoza, a Mexican professional wrestling trainer and retired luchador for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). Mendoza wrestled his last match in 2011, transitioning to being a full-time trainer instead.

Antonio Sánchez Rendón, is a retired Mexican luchador, or professional wrestler best known under the ring name El Signo. Rendón was part of Los Misioneros de la Muerte with Negro Navarro and El Texano a team that is credited with popularizing the Trios match in Mexico to the point that it became the most common match for in Mexican Lucha Libre. Sánchez made his professional wrestling debut in 1971 and officially retired in 2010, after 38 years of active competition. At least one of Sánchez's children is also a professional wrestler, working under the name Hijo del Signo since 2008.
Roberto Aceves,, better known under the ring name Bobby Bonales, was a Mexican luchador, or professional wrestler who was active during the early days of Lucha Libre in Mexico, making his debut in 1934. Aceves son Daniel Aceves is an Olympic medal winner in Greco-Roman wrestling. As Bonales Aceves held several championships including the NWA World Welterweight Championship, the Mexican National Middleweight Championship and the Mexican National Lightweight Championship. In recent years Mexican wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) has honored Bonales on several occasions. Known as La Maravilla Moreliana ; Bonales innovated the Topé Suicida wrestling moves.

Homenaje a Dos Leyendas (2017) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event, scripted and produced by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. The Dos Leyendas show took place on March 17, 2017 in CMLL's main venue, Arena México, Mexico City, Mexico. The event was to honor and remember CMLL founder Salvador Lutteroth, who died in March 1987. Starting in 1999 CMLL honored not just their founder during the show, but also a second lucha libre legend, making it their version of a Hall of Fame event. For the 2017 show CMLL commemorated the life and career of Arturo Díaz Mendoza, better known under the ring name Villano III. This was the 19th March show held under the Homenaje a Dos Leyendas name, having previously been known as Homenaje a Salvador Lutteroth from 1996 to 1998.
