<span class="mw-page-title-main">P.A.O.K.</span> Greek multi-sports club

PAOK, commonly known as A.C. PAOK, is a major multi-sports club based in Thessaloniki, Macedonia, Greece. The club has several departments, including football, basketball, volleyball, handball, water polo, swimming, wrestling, ice hockey, and weightlifting. P.A.O.K was founded in April 1926. Because of its crest, it is also known as the "Double-Headed Eagle of the North", in contrast with AEK, the "Double-Headed Eagle of the South". They are one of the most popular Greek sports-clubs with many fans all over the country, and also among the Greek diaspora.

Greece competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Greek athletes have competed in every Summer Olympic Games. At the closing ceremony, a Greek segment was performed, as the country hosted the next Olympics in Athens four years later. Two Greek flags were also hoisted in preparation for the handover, with the Greek national anthem played twice.

Ioannis Frangoudis was a Greek soldier, athlete and Hellenic Army officer who reached the rank of Colonel. He also competed in the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens as a shooter. Frangoudis is the only Greek athlete who has won a gold, a silver and a bronze medal in a single Olympic.

Ioannis Fountoulis is a Greek water polo player. He is currently the captain of Greece men's national water polo team, with whom he won a bronze medal at the 2015 World Championships, a bronze medal at the 2016 World League, 2020 World League and competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics. He played for the Greek powerhouse Olympiacos since 2009, and in 2018 he won the 2017–18 LEN Champions League with the Greek giants, scoring 4 goals in the final game against Pro Recco in Genoa. Is a very big scorer and leader is considered one of the top players in the world and it is typical how in 2016 and 2018 he was voted as the second top player in the world. Currently playing for the Greek club Olympiacos.

She finished in the Techno 293 class at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and also represented her country Greece on her senior windsurfing debut at the rescheduled Tokyo 2020, landing in the nineteenth position. A member of Nautical Sports Club at Vari Varkiza, Divari trained most of her competitive sporting career under the tutelage of her personal coach Jean-Marc Fantis.
