Controversy

In the 1982 election, the INC emerged as a single largest party with 36 seats but INLD and BJP has pre poll alliance and got 37 seats in total. As no party has clear cut majority, it resulted in a hung assembly and was left to governor's discretion to whom to call upon to form government.

G.D. Tapase (Governor of Haryana) first called on Devi Lal on 22 May 1982 (leader of INLD or LKD + BJP alliance) to prove his majority by morning of 24 May. But in mean time, Bhajan Lal fresh from his re-election as leader of the INC+Individuals(36+16=52) met the governor and was sworn in as Chief Minister.

But in election of 1987, haryana people gave a clear cut majority to LKD or INLD and BJP alliance with overwhelming majority of 76(60+16) out of 90 assembly seats whereas INC suffers a humiliating defeat and won just 5 out of 90 seats as compared 36 seats in last assemble election.^[1]^[2]

Kuldeep Bishnoi is an Indian politician and a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. He served as fourth-time member of Haryana Legislative Assembly from Adampur in the Hisar (city) of Haryana. He was also a member of Congress Central Working Committee (CWC). Earlier in 2007, Bishnoi had founded a new party, Haryana Janhit Congress, a breakaway faction of Indian National Congress.

Sampat Singh is a former Finance Minister of Haryana, India. As a Janata Party candidate, he was elected to the Haryana Legislative Assembly from the Bhattu Kalan constituency in 1982 and has been re-elected on five occasions. He was leader of the opposition from 1991 to 1996. His six election successes made him the most senior Indian National Congress legislator in 12th Haryana assembly. He has held many important portfolios in state government as minister.

Haryana Janhit Congress was a state political party in the state of Haryana, India. It was started as a breakaway faction of the Indian National Congress by former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal in 2007. The party forged an alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the 2014 parliamentary elections.

Politics of Rajasthan is mainly dominated by two parties, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress. The current government in Rajasthan is that of the Indian National Congress and Ashok Gehlot is the Chief Minister.

Manohar Lal Khattar is an Indian politician serving as the 10th and current Chief Minister of Haryana since 2014. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a former RSS pracharak. He represents Karnal constituency in Haryana Legislative Assembly since 2014.

The 2019 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election was held on 21 October 2019 to elect all 288 members of the state's Legislative Assembly. After a 61.4% turnout in the election, the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena (SHS) won a majority. Following differences over the government formation, the alliance was dissolved, precipitating a political crisis.

Legislative Assembly election was held in Haryana on 21 October 2019 to elect 90 members of the Haryana Legislative Assembly. The final voter turnout was recorded at 68.20%. The results were announced on 24 October 2019.

Mohan Lal Badoli is an Indian politician. He was elected to the Haryana Legislative Assembly from Rai in the 2019 Haryana Legislative Assembly election as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He handled the position of Mandal Adkhyaksh (Murthal) in 1995. He was elected as Zila Parishad during Honourable PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government. In 2019, he contested Legislative Assembly and won with a margin of 2,663 votes. He is the first BJP candidate ever to win from this seat i.e. Rai Vidhansabha. Mohan Lal Badoli is closely related to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh from 1989.

Rampal Majra is an Indian politician and former Indian National Lok Dal MLA from Kalayat, Haryana. He was elected 3 times for member of Haryana Legislative Assembly. He was former Haryana Chief Parliamentary Secretary also.
