Charkhi Dadri Assembly constituency is one of the 90 Vidhan Sabha constituencies in Haryana state in northern India. [2]
Dadri (constituency number 56) is one of the 2 Assembly constituencies located in Charkhi Dadri District. [2] This constituency covers the Dadri municipal committee and part of Dadri tehsil. [3]
Dadri is part of Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Lok Sabha constituency along with eight other Assembly segments, namely, Loharu, Tosham and Bhiwani in Bhiwani district, Badhra in Charkhi Dadri and Ateli, Mahendragarh, Narnaul and Nangal Chaudhry in Mahendragarh district. [3] This seat is famous because of the association of wrestler Babita Phogat with it. She contested from this seat in the 2019 Assembly Elections on a BJP ticket, but lost to Independent candidate Sombir Sangwan.

Bhiwani district is one of the 22 districts of the northern Indian state of Haryana. Created on 22 December 1972, it was the largest district of the state by area, before the creation of Charkhi Dadri as a separate district, as it occupied an area of 4,778 square kilometres (1,845 sq mi) and administered 442 villages with a population of 1,634,445. Sirsa is now the largest district of the state.
