The 1992 Big East Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Muzzy Field in Bristol, CT. This was the eighth annual Big East Conference Baseball Tournament. The fourth seeded Providence Friars won their first tournament championship and claimed the Big East Conference's automatic bid to the 1992 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [3]

The Big East baseball tournament was a 4 team double elimination tournament in 1992. The top four teams were seeded one through four based on conference winning percentage only. [3]

Jim Foster was the winner of the 1992 Jack Kaiser Award. Foster was a catcher for Providence. [3]

Rhode Island Rams baseball

The Rhode Island Rams baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate baseball team of the University of Rhode Island, located in Kingston, Rhode Island, United States. The program has been a member of the NCAA Division I Atlantic 10 Conference since the start of the 1981 season. Since the 1966 season, the program has played at Bill Beck Field, located on the university's campus. The program has appeared in two NCAA Tournaments. It has won two conference tournaments, three regular season conference titles, and three regular season division titles. Three former Rams have appeared in Major League Baseball.

Paul Kostacopoulos American college baseball coach (born 1964)

Paul Kostacopoulos is an American college baseball coach. He has been the head coach of the Navy Midshipmen since the start of the 2006 season. Prior to Navy, he was the head coach at both Maine and Providence. With the three programs, Kostacopoulos has appeared in a total of five NCAA Tournaments.

Charlie Hickey is an American college baseball coach. He has been the head coach of Central Connecticut since the 2000 season, leading the Blue Devils to six NCAA Tournaments. Previously, he was the head coach at Providence for three seasons (1997–1999). Providence announced it was cutting the program prior to the 1999 season, but the team won that year's Big East title and advanced to an NCAA Regional final.
