The 2014 Big East Conference Baseball Tournament was held at MCU Park in Brooklyn, New York from May 21 through May 25. The event, held at the end of the conference regular season, determined the champion of the Big East Conference for the 2013 season. Xavier won the event for the first time and earned the conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [2] [3] [4]

The Creighton Bluejays baseball team represents the Creighton University in NCAA Division I college baseball. Creighton competes as a member of the Big East Conference and plays its home games at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. Creighton's baseball team played its first Big East season in 2014. They are coached by Ed Servais.

The Creighton Bluejays men's soccer team represents Creighton University in NCAA men's Division I soccer competitions. They compete in the Big East Conference and have risen to prominence in collegiate men's soccer in the last few decades having gone to the NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Tournament in 22 of the previous 23 seasons, going back to 1992, with five appearances in the College Cup semifinals and one appearance in the National Championship Match. In conference play, the Bluejays have won 13 conference regular season championships and 13 conference tournament championships; the most recent being the 2014 Big East Conference Regular Season Championship. Creighton is the only soccer program in the nation to have at least one athlete taken in every Major League Soccer (MLS) draft from 1996 to 2014. They are currently coached by Johnny Torres.

The 2013 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 15, 2013. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament and 2013 College World Series. The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska at TD Ameritrade Park concluded on June 25, 2013 with the final game of the best of three championship series. UCLA defeated Mississippi State two games to none to claim their first championship.

The Big East Conference is a collegiate athletic conference that competes in NCAA Division I in ten men's sports and twelve women's sports. Headquartered in New York City, the eleven full-member schools are primarily located in Northeast and Midwest metropolitan areas. The conference was officially recognized as a Division I multi-sport conference on August 1, 2013, and since then conference members have won NCAA national championships in men's basketball, women's cross country, field hockey, men's lacrosse, and men's soccer. Val Ackerman is the commissioner.

Edwin Servais is an American college baseball coach and small-ball connoisseur, currently the head coach at Creighton University, a member of the Big East Conference in NCAA Division I. He has held the position since July 2003, and has led the Bluejays to four appearances in the NCAA Tournament. "Niner" celebrated his 600th career win with the Bluejays on April 1, 2022 with a shower in his favorite beverage, Coca-Cola.

The 2013 Big East Men's Soccer Tournament was the inaugural men's soccer tournament of the new Big East Conference, formed in July 2013 after the original Big East Conference split into two leagues along football lines. Including the history of the original conference, it was the 18th edition of the Big East tournament.

2014 Big East Mens Basketball Tournament

The 2014 Big East Men's Basketball Tournament, officially known as the 2014 Big East Championship, was the 35th overall edition of the Big East Men's Basketball Tournament, but the first of the current Big East Conference. It determined the recipient of the conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Tournament, as well as one of the two officially recognized conference champions for the 2013–14 Big East Conference men's basketball season. It was held at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The 2014 Big Ten Conference Baseball Tournament was held at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha, NE from May 21 through 25. The eight team, double-elimination tournament determined the league champion for the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season. Indiana won their second consecutive, and fourth overall, tournament championship and claimed the Big Ten Conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The event was aired on the Big Ten Network. This was the first time the event was held in Omaha and the first time it featured eight teams.

The 2014 America East Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 21–23. The top four regular season finishers of the league's six teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Edward A. LeLacheur Park in Lowell, Massachusetts, the home park of UMass Lowell. Binghamton won their third tournament championship, and second consecutive, to claim the America East Conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

Scott Googins is an American college baseball coach who is the head coach of the University of Cincinnati Bearcats Baseball Team. Googins was hired on June 6, 2017. He left Xavier after being the skipper of the Musketeers baseball team since the start of the 2006 season. Under Googins, Xavier appeared in three NCAA Tournaments. In 2008, he was named the A-10 Coach of the Year, and in 2009, he was named the ABCA Mideast Region Coach of the Year. Googins is an alumnus of Ohio Wesleyan University, where he played baseball for the Battling Bishops.

The 2009 Atlantic 10 Conference Baseball Championship was held from May 20–23 at Fifth Third Field in Dayton, OH. It featured the top six regular-season finishers of the conference's 14 teams. Third-seeded Xavier defeated Rhode Island in the title game to win the tournament for the first time, earning the A-10's automatic bid to the 2009 NCAA Tournament.

The 2014 Big East Men's Soccer Tournament was the second men's soccer tournament of the new Big East Conference, formed in July 2013 after the original Big East Conference split into two leagues along football lines. Including the history of the original conference, it was the 19th edition of the Big East tournament.

The 2014 Big East Conference men's Futbol season was the second soccer season for the recently realigned Big East Conference. Including the history of the original Big East Conference, this was the 19th season of men's soccer under the "Big East Conference" name.

The 2016–17 Big East Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2016, followed by the start of the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. This season marked the 38th year in the conference's history, but the fourth as a non-football conference, which officially formed on July 1, 2013. Conference play began on December 31, 2016.

The 2017 Big East Men's Basketball Tournament was the postseason tournament men's basketball tournament for the Big East Conference. It was held from March 8 through March 11, 2017 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The championship was won by Villanova who defeated Creighton in the championship game. The tournament win was Villanova's third all-time tournament championship and second in the prior three years. As a result, Villanova received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

The 2018–19 Big East Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2018, followed by the start of the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. This season marked the 40th year in the conference's history, but the sixth as a non-football conference, which officially formed on July 1, 2013. Conference play began in December 2018.

The 2019 Big East Conference men's soccer season was the seventh season for the realigned Big East Conference. Including the history of the original Big East Conference, this was the 24th season of men's soccer under the "Big East Conference" name. The regular season began on August 30 and concluded on November 2.
