The 2014 Conference USA Baseball Tournament will be held from May 21 through May 25 at Pete Taylor Park in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The annual tournament determines the conference champion of the Division I Conference USA for college baseball. The tournament champion will receive the league's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [2] [3] [4] This is the last of 19 athletic championship events held by the conference in the 2013–14 academic year. [5]
The tournament was established in 1996, Conference USA's first season of play. Tulane and Rice have won the most championships, with five. Among current, returning teams, only Marshall has never won a title. The conference adds eight new teams for 2014.
The top eight finishers from the regular season were seeded one through eight. The tournament returned to a double-elimination format, previously used from 1996 through 2010. [6]

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is an American college athletic conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the South Central and Southeastern United States. Its fourteen members include the flagship public universities of ten states, three additional public land-grant universities, and one private research university. The conference is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. The SEC participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I in sports competitions; for football it is part of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as Division I-A.
Trustmark Park is the home of the Mississippi Braves, the Southern League Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves and is located in Pearl, Mississippi, USA. The ballpark, which opened April 18, 2005, has capacity for 8,480 fans. There are 5,500 chair-back seats in the reserved seating areas. The grass berm beyond the outfield walls has room for an additional 2,000 general admission customers. On August 13, 2006, a record crowd of 7,652 saw the M-Braves defeat the Huntsville Stars 4–2. The largest crowd to ever see a game at the park was the 2016 Governor's Cup in which 8,542 fans watched the Mississippi State Bulldogs defeat the Ole Miss Rebels, 2–0.
Pete Taylor Park is a baseball stadium located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, that is home to the Southern Miss Golden Eagles baseball team.
The Southern Miss Golden Eagles and Lady Eagles are the intercollegiate athletics teams that represent the University of Southern Mississippi (USM), located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The Golden Eagles compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level mainly as a member of Conference USA (C-USA). USM's newest sport of women's beach volleyball, a sport not sponsored by C-USA, was added in the 2018–19 school year and competes in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association. The school's earliest nickname was Tigers. Thereafter came such nicknames as Normalites, Yellow Jackets, Confederates, and Southerners. Golden Eagles was selected in a student/alumni vote in the early 1972. Seymour d'Campus is the name of the modern-day mascot eagle.
The Southeastern Conference Baseball Tournament is the conference tournament in baseball for the Southeastern Conference (SEC). It is a partially double-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season conference records. The winner receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The SEC Tournament champion is separate from the conference champion. The conference championship is determined solely by regular season record.

The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska at TD Ameritrade Park concluded on June 25, 2013 with the final game of the best of three championship series. UCLA defeated Mississippi State two games to none to claim their first championship.

They were led by third-year head coach Todd Monken and played their home games at M. M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. They finished the season 9–5, 7–1 in C-USA play to be champions of the West Division. They represented the West Division in the Conference USA Football Championship Game where they lost to WKU. They were invited to the Heart of Dallas Bowl, where they were defeated by Washington.
