The 2014 Western Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament took place from May 21 to May 25. [2] The top six regular season finishers of the league's ten teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at Cubs Park, spring training home of the Chicago Cubs in Mesa, Arizona. Sacramento State won the tournament for the first time, earning the Western Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [3] No team currently in the league has won a WAC Tournament Championship.

Seeding and format

The top six finishers from the regular season will be seeded based on conference winning percentage. Grand Canyon was ineligible as it completed the transition to Division I.

The 2012 Western Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament began on May 23 and ended on May 26 or 27. The top six regular season finishers of the league's seven teams met in the double-elimination tournament held at HoHoKam Stadium in Mesa, AZ. Fifth seeded Fresno State won their sixth and final tournament championship and claimed the Western Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. The Bulldogs joined the Mountain West Conference after the 2012 season.

The 2013 Western Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament was held beginning May 22 and ending on May 26. The top eight regular season finishers of the league's ten teams met in the round-robin tournament held at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie, TX. UTSA won their first tournament championship and earned the Western Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. UTSA departed for Conference USA after the 2013 season, again leaving the conference with no team that had ever won the tournament for 2014.

Reggie Aaron Christiansen is an American college baseball coach who has served as head coach of the Sacramento State Hornets baseball team since 2011. Christiansen was previously head coach at Menlo and South Dakota State. At Sacramento State, Christiansen has over 360 wins, with two Western Athletic Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2012 and 2014 and three appearances in the NCAA Tournament in 2014, 2017, and 2019.

The 2015 Western Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament will take place beginning on May 20 and ending on May 24. The top six regular season finishers of the league's ten teams will meet in the double-elimination tournament to be held at Sloan Park, spring training home of the Chicago Cubs in Mesa, Arizona. The 1980 Hawaii Rainbow Warriors baseball team represented the University of Hawaii at Manoa during the 1980 NCAA Division I baseball season. It was the program's 58th season of existence, and their first season in the Western Athletic Conference. In the Warriors' first season in the WAC, they won divisional and conference honors, winning the South Division regular season, and the WAC Championship Series against BYU. The Rainbow Warriors received an automatic berth into the 1980 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. There, they won the Central Regional and advanced to the College World Series, where they lost in the final to Arizona.

The 2018 Western Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament will take place beginning on May 23 and ending on May 26 or 27. The top six regular season finishers of the league's ten teams will meet in the double-elimination tournament to be held at Hohokam Stadium, spring training home of the Oakland Athletics in Mesa, Arizona. The winner will earn the Western Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The winner, Sacramento State, earned the Western Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2021 NCAA Division I baseball season play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 19, 2021. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2021 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament and 2021 College World Series. The College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, ended on June 30, 2021. The Mississippi State Bulldogs won the tournament, and were consequently named national champions.

The 2022 Western Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament will take place beginning on May 25 and ending on May 28. The top four regular season finishers of the league's two divisions will meet in the double-elimination tournament to be held at Hohokam Stadium, spring training home of the Oakland Athletics in Mesa, Arizona. California Baptist, Dixie State, and Tarleton State are ineligible for the postseason as both programs are still in the transition to Division I. The winner will earn the Western Athletic Conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.
