David Halberstam was an American writer, journalist, and historian, known for his work on the Vietnam War, politics, history, the Civil Rights Movement, business, media, American culture, Korean War, and later, sports journalism. He won a Pulitzer Prize for International Reporting in 1964. Halberstam was killed in a car crash in 2007 while doing research for a book.
Dat Tan Nguyen is an American former professional football player who was a linebacker for seven seasons with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Texas A&M Aggies, earning unanimous All-American honors. He is the first Vietnamese-American to be drafted, play, and be recognized as an All-Pro in the NFL.

Lê Huỳnh Đức is a Vietnamese football manager and former footballer. He is currently head coach of V.League 1 club Becamex Binh Duong. Huỳnh Đức is a former member of the Vietnam national football team, with whom he earned 60 caps, as well as being its top scorer. He became the first Vietnamese footballer to be signed to a club outside of Vietnam when he signed on for a year's stint with Chongqing Lifan. In 2009, he became both the youngest coach to win the V-League's "Best Coach of the Month" award, and the first coach to win the award in three consecutive months. His coaching style is best known for its toughness and discipline, which is credited with helping SHB Đà Nẵng emerge as champions in the 2009 V-League season.

Karl-Heinz Weigang was a German professional football manager.
